You must have quite a funny definition of "dead" then.
# A GRIM, ODD, ARCANE SKY
# ANY GOD, I MARK SACRED
# A MASKED CRY ADORING
# A DREAMY, SICK DRAGON
Is definition "I am struggling to find people for TP" sufficient?
It's so dead that it requires them to open not 1, not 2, but 3 more servers so blue dragon isn't overloaded.
The biggest hurdle for Snail Games is Snail Games. The game is good, the company running it is hopelessly lost.
I better stop before this becomes a rant...
I wanted to give this game a go but I've read so many bad things about it on this forum that I'm not going to bother not matter how many things they might add to it. The credit card issues etc. being the main problem it seems.
That has nothing to do with population size. RU and CN servers are hosting far more players per server.
This is about money.
Experience says that people will literally find anything they can to complain about. But please.. tell us more!
One man, one woman marriage. That is pretty epic, but I'm not going back. It's kind of ... well just not my thing.
I will never support freeloaders, no more subsidized gaming.

^^This. That and the hugely un-needed over complexity of everything when all it amounts to is more grind and by grind I mean repetitive content that isn't fun. Like that sitting in a school with other players doing a simon says type of exercise over and over and over, bleh.
The problem of AoW is that unlike other games, it is heavily group dependent. There is very little solo content thus it hurts the game much more.
People who do not spend more than 24 hours on this game have no right to comment on whether it is good or not. This game is so complex that you can't even begin to admire all of the features in only 1 or two hours.
I'm tired of all the bashing on the game because it really has things no other game has attempted. It's very PVP based and even instances are pvp based. Everything has to do with something else in this game.
Yes, Snail is a crap company, but the game itself is amazing. Just buggy.
^This. If you have not joined a guild you are missing out on a lot. Can't find Team Practice? Your guild will likely schedule to have them a few times a day. Can't find a group to do mini instances, or help you get you 2nd internal? Your guild will be doing those instances almost daily. Need extra bound coin but don't want to do spay missions? Being part of a guild allows you to do escort missions and earn bound coin while helping the guild grow. It also gives you experience pills, which give you 50 exp each, instead of the 1 to 2 exp you may earn from a pve mission.
If you are bored, join a guild. Also helps with crafting since guildies are mostly willing to make you an item as long as you bring the materials. If you tried the game and dismissed it as bad without even joining a guild, then you didn't even give it a chance.
Yes, there are issues. For one, I'm not happy with the time limits on cash shop items. Also, combat is not as fluid as it could be, there is a huge learning curve, and customization is extremely underwhelmling, but it is still a good game and quite different from a lot of what is out there.
Another example of awful game design. On top of group dependency, vast of the content is scheduled.
The game has interesting features and mechanics but it is horribly designed...

Game has a lot of problems. I only suggest this game to those who have a high tolerance for imperfection.
The whole issue being, is a game that is simply unlike anything else out there worth putting up with the abysmal company that runs it? For some it absolutely is because there just isn't an alternative.
For many it is not.
