Ever since I saw the first trailer I've been pretty hyped for this game.
First of all the world is seamless. That means NO loading whatsoever between zones. Can I get a hallelujah? It says that the only loading that will be needed in the game is when joining instances.
There is a real time weather system, and also each region has a climate you have to adapt to. The desert area players can raise a camel and mine areas. In warm climates you will be able to fish and farm. There are also areas where it can snow, rain, or storm. For example, if I climate is really cold it could start to rain or snow.
In the adventuring side of the game, there are many ways to play. Players will be able to adventure by solo play, party playing, field raids, normal raids, raid dungeons, chasing, defense kind of games, siege warfare, guild vs guild, and a lot of cool other features.
As for housing in this game, you could build your own house in certain areas or even rent out houses/buildings in cities or towns! There is also an auction house system. Houses are fully customizable, and can be filled with many different furnishings! Here's another cool thing. The more you decorate/furnish your house, the more NPCs may come over and visit you! Though if you are poor, you could get along just fine with the tent system. There is one thing I am afraid of however. It says the housing areas are limited, though it does say there is a "reverse system" for players who join the game late.
Black Desert offers a wide variety of mounts ranging from horses, camels, elephants, donkeys, and carts. It says Pearl Abyss (the developers) is still debating on whether or not they should add a breeding system in the game where players can breed certain mounts into special ones. I think this would be a pretty cool idea!
The trading system looks awesome as well! You will be able to travel and trade goods all over the world. Players can craft special items in certain areas and trade and deliver it to the other areas of the map.
Black Desert offers two kinds of combat styles, the first one is the original third person mode that plays a bit similar to your action games like Vindictus, Continent of the Ninth, and Tera Online. The other combat mode is a bit similar to your average FPS game, or to make things easier to understand, it is a along the lines of The Elder Scroll series, where you can run around and fight in first person or third person mode. The latest trailer also showcases fighting and chasing down monsters while you're on a mount, which is cool. I've noticed that are a couple classes now which are Fighter, Magician, Archer, Predator, Tamer, Blader, Male Archer, Female Fighter(Valkyrie), and Male Wizard.
Another thing that I love about the game are the graphics. I mean the game looks beautiful!

Every MMO deserves the hype because that is the whole point of 'hype'.
Black Desert isn't the only special case.

Most games look really great from trailers and interviews and such. The final product can, and usually is, vastly different.
Not difficult to hype something, it's been done to almost every mmo out there. Like all new games, those that follow it with anticipation want it to be great, time will tell if it lives up to the preceding fanfare and expectations.
Screenshots and Trailers can make it look epic but once you play it one can discover lots of disapointment.
I wait and see, but from things ive seen this one looks quite the mmo.
Iam still waiting for an mmo that focus on large scale battles where you can lose and be kicked out of your land ( Eve Online ) <--- but in a fantasy setting.
Black Desert shows promesing, but i realy want to see how this plays before making further judgement.
You forgot to mention they have an assassins creed like parkour system being implemented apparently, which intrigues me.
But like others have said don't judge a book by it's cover, however, this cover does have me really interested.
