Commercials while gaming?

This is a pretty straight forward question. Do you think we'll ever get to the point where we are forced to watch commercials before/during/after while playing games?
Seems you can't escape advertisements anymore. They're everywhere. Most places of entertainment and social media have advertisements these days.
Could you see ads for things while your game is booting, load screens and quilting? I honestly think that we're going to get to that point soon.

I'm talking more wide spread advertising.
Like when you load up Halo 5 you get Ford/Pepsi commercial and a Kick Ass 3 trailer before you can play. Sprite quenches your thirst while going loading a dungeon.
^ I was thinking the exact same thing.
I played jp Phantasy Star Online 2 for a while and there was advertisements on loading screens, mostly food adds like Mcdonald.
We ll probably get similar stuff soon or later on NA games, wouldn't be surprised.
I hope not if it breaks my game immersion ill never buy a game from same publisher ever again.
And starting up a game i always need to have option to skip the add if not i want game for free i wont buy games with adds i can't skip.
if a game company adds adds in tastefull ways such as in game posters, magizines billboards or just the stuff you use in it, i dont really mind it keeps them from filling they need to gouge me in the cash shop, and puts a little more money into the old develment budget.
now if everytime i enter a mission or shanges zones or log in i ahve to watch a video. . . . .well i might have to got get old bettey cleaned up for a night on the town.

Well gamersgate tried a service where games (Mostly older games, but still pretty good list) where offered for free with a commercials before you played the game. So It already happend.
I doubt we see it in games we pay for. Maybe we see more product placement and maybe while installing we get a movie or even a website popup or something, but not while in the game.
Still, would be hell of a laugh when someone kills Big Bird in WOW with (25 man now in raids?) after a night of raiding and when he dies you get a screensize popup saying "this content was brought to you by XXXXXXXX!"

Who ever buys anything do to seeing a commercial? If a commercial annoys me enough I make a mental note to NEVER buy any of that company's products. If people are like me commercials will do more damage than good.
But to the OP yeah it's possible to end up like that. I really hope not.
Like now when I walk thru Wal-mart there are these tv's throughout the food and cosmetic isles with mercials and it's SO ANNOYING. I'll buy your product if it's cheap and good. Not if you're up in my face buzzing me like a mosquito.
World of mouth is the best commercial yet. But I don't mind game adds on gaming forums except the moving ones lag my PC. They all need to stand still with pretty art like that big fat sheep in the corner there, with a clover growing out of his tiny brain.
