Comments like this really make me question if it's even worth coming to this site again. It shows just how amateurish, bigoted and clueless the reviewer is. To me, a person like this should not be even reviewing games, much less earning a living doing it.
Had he had an issue with gamedesign, mechanics, performance or anything like that, I could understand it. But this opinion is based exclusively on their moral perception of what is "right" and "proper". This in a field were scantly dressed, curvaceous women is more of a rule than an exception.
I personally played Scarlet Blade, and it was lots of fun. I am no longer playing it, but that is due to the lack of content at advanced levels and what I consider Aerea's mismanagement of their item shop. Not because of my prudish, Victorian sense of morality.
To you, Mr. William Murphy, I strongly suggest you either change your bigoted ways or failing that, choose another profession. One where you will not be subject to having to come up with professional opinion that is not based on your outdated sense of morality.

Should we go drag people out of their homes for saying low graphic games are horrible? They do intend to add male characters to that game down the line. So, when that happens hell even I'll give the game a whirl. As for Some of the other games on the list. DK online was a train wreck. Asura force made me feel like I was back in 2004. Wizardry I can't really hate on as much. I just wish you could of skipped the opening sequence and got right to the gameplay. Other then that no complaints for Wizardry. Not even going to touch all the problems War Z has....

How the fuck is Scarlet Blade the worse if you haven't even played the game? You're basing your assumption because the game is suggestive in its character design, so you assummeee that its bad because of it. [mod edit]
And this thing about Wizardry Online, how can you guys even say its bad?? Its probably one of the most strategy driven games out there. You have to plan your character development and dodging and positioning is really key in this game. It definitely gave me more of an edge than any of the other shitty MMOs in the market out right now. The combat is sluggish for a purpose, its time dependent, and you have to really time your dodges in the game. Even as a melee tanker, and a mage. Its all about health reliant. You needed to keep as much health as possible and dodge to avoid any heavy damage. The only reason why I stopped playing the game was because the game was a waste of time trying to complete 1 simple little dungeon. If you wanted to enter into a dungeon, you NEEDED a party for many reasons and finding a party was hard in it of itself and could usually take a half an hour to an hour and if you wait inside a dungeon screaming if there is a party available, you can get your ass murdered by pvpers. You go in alone, but there is also that chance that you can get murdered by gangers trying to kill you and this happens more than often. And the worst part, they can steal your items. You could find a rare item in the dungeon that took hours, and pvpers can steal that shit away in a few seconds if you get ganged by them. Plus the fact that dying also resulted in losing your character, if you aren't careful and keep on dying. You are also on the lookout cause potential perma-death is always there. It also sucks too that pvpers always enter into the dungeon as the max level required for that dungeon, which many times, they rape your ass. The reason why you needed a group to help each other to avoid those fuckers, which is fruitless sometimes, cause they always got grade A weapons. If you think about it, this game is heavily group orientated.
And the game hits you without even knowing it. You could be afking in the town, and the next thing you know, you got murdered by a pvper, cause the game was open pvp everywhere. How could this game even be the worse? It was fun as fuck and keeps you on the edge. That's what a game should be all about. You should call this game innovative more like it. I also liked how shopkeepers will refuse to trade with you if you are a murderer and even call the guards to come after you. [mod edit]

Neverwinter should definitely be on this list, if for no other reason, than their abysmal "beta" cash shop junk, that they squeezed out of an orifice that should be sewn shut.

Visuals are NOT the same thing as graphics or resolution.
Not many seems to ever said Minecraft or Portals are a bad games - yet both games has is wayyyy worse graphics than Scarlet Blade.

I find this a silly reason to put this game on a 'worst MMO' list. Whether you like the sexualised design or not, it is still just personal preference. Not to mention the lame contradiction in the underlined part.
But I guess it is the political correct reaction to such a game I think there are two signs of immaturity. One that makes your jaw drop at pixelated boobs as if you haven't seen them before and one that makes you react as if you are so called 'better' then that (while watching porn if you are alone and think no one is watching ). Why can't you just review a game on its own merits. Look at what the devs are trying to achieve and review it based on that. Because that would require them to have some sort of skill or talent.

So MMORPG.com is willing to take advertisement revenue from a game, which basically shows soft anime porn, with ads all over the site for weeks, and then come on here in an article and essentially call the game out for what it is. Double standards?
That's exactly the thought that ran through my mind when reading this. I thought that maybe the people writing isn't the same people deciding what ads should be running on the site though.
Actually this has been confirmed by staff, the team managing the business side has nothing to do with the editorial content, so that does explain the disconnect.

warz, dayz... i'mfalling asleepz are they even classed MMORPG's? Although we now classed instanced MMORPGs as MMORPGS... i think the while genre needs a redefinition (with sub parts), even Anet never viewed the original guild wars as an mmorpg.

Sites like these are trying to fit everything into the MMORPG category even though some of them are shooters, some of them are MOBAs, some of them don't even have RPG elements. The real problem is, why bother even having sister sites like MMOFPS or RTSGuru if you're going to put every game on every site?
Are they just trying to increase ad revenue, because honestly, all of this stuff could fit under one domain name.
I got rid of Scarlet blade because every time I'd get into a battle the pointer would move the attack icon away from the hotbar - not just once but multiple times. I looked for a way to lock the hotbar, but didn't find a control. Needless to say I kept losing because I wasn't doing any fighting.
I know Scarlet Blade was pretty cheap looking but for me Wushu was easily the worst game.I deleted it almost instantly.probably the biggest reason is i couldn't care less about pvp especially some cheesy Mortal Kombat copy.I swear most of those Asian games must have some site where they steal all the same models and textures.
Anyhow enough talk poor gaming shouldn't take up too much of our time,i prefer to look at games with some upside or potential.

Scarlet Blade's inclusion is not about the soft-core pornographic nature of its presentation, rather the fact that the game leans on that crutch so heavily when the rest of the title is merely bland at best. Perhaps that wasn't made clear enough. It's like the old Skin-emax movie Bikini Carwash. Sure, anyone attracted to the feminine body can appreciate the base desires a movie like Bikini Carwash strives to endulge, but would you call it a great movie worth recommending to other fans of cinema? Right up there with the likes of Fargo and The Big Lebowski?
If your answer is yes, then this List probably isn't going to sit well with you.
PS, off-topic - What ever happened to late night Cinemax? Is it still soft-core porn, or has it changed? Genuinely curious. One would think with the invention of the internet, that little corner of cable is no longer necessary.

I think the call on Scarlet Blade is premature. It doesn't deserve to be on this list for many reasons, mainly because there was no review. I find this is judging a book by a cover. I know there is heavy influence of Queen's Blade in this only set in a futuristic setting. Some might find it pandering at first look, but can look at it another way - strong woman, self empowered and sexy.
If anything, I think the game mechanics should have a close look before writing this game off as a worse game of 2013. Its an unfair judgment without examining the game itself, not just graphic pallets.
Most of that crap on Skinemax made me laugh, i mean honestly i'd crack up and start laughing hysterically at some of the dialogue... If the sex scene's werent there most of it would be comedic gold!

1) I think WOW should be number one and WarZ should be forgotten, "not worth mention". WOW is loosing subs big vrs the amount spent on programming staff, ads, etc.... They are a massive failure when looking at their futures. They are not able to see the number of players that are sick of their weak game for the temp players and baby sitting tools they have today. They have lost their hardcore players for short term profit. I hope they enjoy their grave. My only wish for them is that they give me a server with Vanilla WOW or at most the Burning Crusade, and then NEVER touch it again with their ignorant hands.
