How do u get into phase 3?

I was wondering how do u get into phase 3 been hearing different things but dont know if they true?

apply on ff14 website.
those who were playing in phase 2 are able to attend phase 3 by default. but they are gonna pick some new users as well.
they are supposed to give priority for those who has square enix membership code from buying final fantasy13. i applied with that but i wasnt accepted yet, and my pc is badass so it doesnt seems to be so easy to get in.
There is basically 2 ways, be a past ff14 subscriber and apply to the website, as mentioned above they will give priority for the ps3 beta to those who registered the code that came with ff13 and the priority for the pc will be those who already bought and subed to ff14.
Phase 4 I believe is Open Beta.
Make a square-Enix account and I believe you should be able to download the game once Open Beta starts.
Okay here is how it works.
If you bought FFXIV and have a Square Enix Account then you will be automatically invited (not just priority, guaranteed access). Go to your Square Enix account and check your email to make sure it is correct and that your email is not emails from SE.
Invites have not gone out yet for phase 3 as far as I know but should very soon.
If you never played FFXIV 1.0 then you need to apply to the beta and they may randomly select you. Otherwise you will have a chance during open beta.

I had bought the game when it first released.... I activated the FFXIV service at the management square page, I registered for beta testing and still I haven't received any beta invitation...
I don't know if you need an active subscription though.
They haven't sent invites for phase 3. Just make sure your email listed on the SE account is correct and that they are not filtered by your spam blocker.
Phase 3 was supposed to start this weekend supposedly, however due to construction in the offices they postponed it until the 14th. Emails usually go out the week before/of the test.
You don't need an active subscription because no one has an active subscription at the moment; also legacy (those who subscribed to 1.x after the announcement of ARR) already were in beta as of phase 1. Phase 3 is for all owners of 1.0 even those that quit before the free trial "month" (year+) was over.
