The title does say "2013", but to be fair, it looks like many of these titles will come out in 2014 (and beyond).
1. The Elder Scrolls Online
2. WildStar
3. Pathfinder Online
4. Black Desert
5. ArcheAge
Honorable Mentions:
World of Darkness, The Repopulation, EverQuest Next (don't know much about it.), Blade & Soul, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (after the 2010 'disaster', I lost much interest.), Project: Theralon (browser MMO), Star Citizen, and Icarus Online (Dragon's Prophet done right?).
It's summer now and we know basically nothing about EQnext, with no info and no hype or marketing built for the game it would all of a sudden be released in couple of months? What? These games are released on top of one or two years hype, not few months. We're lucky if we see Wildstar or TESO this year, and they have been giving out info and stuff about the games for a while now.
Smedley said something about a playable version this year and he doesn't mean beta.
Well lets just see if the game gets released with less than few months of marketing, hype, and beta, currently none of that trio does even exist, at all. Just saying.
I'm looking forward to archage, ESO, final fantasy, and Eqn. Why authors of a site like this are so hyped over a goofy Saturday morning cartoon like game is beyond me. It's not about the fact that wild star has cartoon graphics, but the goofiness looks idiotic.
To you it looks idiotic but judging by most of the replies in this thread they don't agree with you.I guess it just shows that a well known ip doesn't guarantee anything.

They really are the 5 games on the radar.kind of odd i have heard so little about ESO,but then again i only know of AA from doing my own homework.
I sort of liked Elder scrolls in the old days but imo Zenimax has not proved to me they can make me a triple A product.Actually aside from Archeage,i expect just more of the same old from all these other titles.Wildstar is doing a few things that warrants a take a look and see but visually it might just be too cheap to attract the real sticklers like ME ^^.
I am not sold one bit on Smedley because i have been in his games for years and seen a lot of poor direction.
I was more turned off by FFXIV because of it's direction and it is going even worse in the direction i don't like. They are trying too hard to give it the feel and look and UI of Wow,i don't Wow not in any game i play.BTW i recently bought the newest FFXI expansion and i was blown away,it is the just awful,so obviously they have not learned anything, still trying to sell me garbage. This direction at Square has been going on for a few years now, first 6 years were the best.
Here is a simple FACT about SOE....EVERYDAY server maintenance ,are you kidding me?They either incredibly incompetent that they can't organize it better or they are just lying and have a different agenda. You know how often Square Enix needs server maintenance,RARE like as rare as the rarest drops.I could leave my player on 24/7 and never get the boot.
I have also seen SOE dumb down everything that actually had some depth, that does not show me they are directed towards quality. What i have actually seen instead is they are designing everything to make their job easier but also taking away from game depth. The ONLY thing i have confidence in is they do make buildings with insides and doors, that always gets props from me,i hate total cheap laziness in game design.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
About the only game on that list that im still remotely interested in, is FFXIV ARR, and even then, not enough to buy it when its released, i will be waiting to see some in game player footage on youtube, before i even consider buying. I am however interested in WOD, if CCP can work their magic on it then maybe it will be a good game - hopefully DUST514 was just a blip...
WildStar is the one that I really want to get my hands on, althoe Final Fantasy XIV was a very pleasent surprise for me! Tried the beta and I had a blast trying out the game. I kinda lost interest for Elder Scrolls OnLine, and I never played the original Everquest. With that said, guess nothing like trying the brand new MMO out for yourself and decide which will be the "chosen one"

For 2013
1. Wildstar
2. ESO
Wildstar will come out first. I don't like themeparks but its something to play for a month.
ESO will likely come out a few months later. I will play that for a month as well prolly.
EQ next is not coming out this year, I dont think AA is either.
I really look forward to World of Shadowbane.
I hope repopulation is good.
2013 - Nothing, a.k.a EVE expansion (that is if they recover from their DDoS)
2016 - Titan
2020 - WoD
2048 - Infinity
Bill - love your voice!
My top 3:
1) Everquest Next
2) ArcheAge
3) Elder Scrolls Online
1.FireFall
just because i revisited the game this weekend-after a 8 month break. and they implemented tons of pve!!
Ares missions and invasion events-and new crafting system with purchasable battleframes!!
all i can say they are stellar and if this is whats to come in FF!
count me in!

Personal list is:
FFXIV
ESO (maybe)
Nothing else really interests me.
Black Dessert is a big maybe, but probably not till 2015/16 or so.

3) FFXIV: ARR
Lets see your Battle Stations /r/battlestations
Battle Station
It looks like wow in space
Do doubt it will be good at what it does, but it ain't for me.

I want ESO to succeed, but i don't think i'm gonna like their pvp limit system. If it's not open world pvp, i'm gonna skip it completely.
Archage, i'm gonna play it for sure if ESO die.
What this list is missing is Origin of Malu. It's gonna be a great sandbox.

My list would probably be:
1) Wildstar/EQNext - both should be different enough to appeal to both the themepark and sandbox player in me
2) AA - has some good ideas
3) ESO - AvAvA may be very fun rest of the game looks meh
They messed it up how it actually stands is.
1. EQN
2. FFXIV: ARR
3. TESO
4. ArchAge
5. Wildstar (wtf is this? Never heard of it before)
