Mainly cause of the total lack of support by the developers, corrupt gms, and lazy gms. I've played both usko and myko.
MYKO Gm there (Kenny) has sold items and characters for real money. Their support is really terrible. You send in a customer service report and you wait sometimes two weeks and get some reply that doesn't even make sense. The server is really poor. You spend more time trying to login than playing with constant winsock errors and if you do get in, you usually can expect 5-1 minute lag spikes till you disconnect. Also the duping got out of control a while back and people still have their upgraded duped items. Some of them were made using some upgrade bug.
The game is really unbalanced due to a few of the bugs in the game. One you can break animations and hit again even though your not supposed to. People call it "combo" but it's taking advantage of a game bug that make rogue assasins the most sought after class. The next one is the warrior. They use the bug called "glitching" and it's not punished on myko (but it is on usko) which allows warriors to outrun even rogues with the lightfeet skill. The warriors can also break the animation and hit super fast. So far I know of only the animation break for the priest as far as attacking, but they are mainly needed for healing and buffing. Probably the two worst classes are the mage and rogue archer. There is no hit hack for either of these. The mage hp and defense is low compared to all other classes, and because they never fixed the bug where adding mp armor doesn't add pvp damage, they are the hardest to play and everyone mainly just views them as targets for easy pk. Instead their damage should be higher than they should be feared. The arcer just has to stand there and tank damage as he has to stand still while shooting. About the only real advantage is the range.
On to usko.
If you ever played, you know the turks have some hack they use and pay for called kosp. I've seen mages using stealth there. Low level characters using the level 60 and 70 skills due to some skill bug with the registry. Basically, if there's a hack, the turks will find and exploit it. With this kosp it has some kind of macro where they sit and attack and regen while leveling. I've even seen parties killing snake queen and other boss, and the whole party was sitting, even the priest. The dupes are totally out of control there. If you don't have at least +9 items and +3 jewlry your a total noob. The gms were also selling lots of characters and items to people fo real money. They used knightcash to do it there.
If you try to level there, most of the time people come up and try to trade you so you'll die. You get constant pms from turks of ytem please, money please, clan please, etc. etc. The servers are always overfull there. (probably cause you can actually login.) One bug I've found though is sometims I almost never can loot a chest to get the drop. And looting is unrealistically slow. With the turks kosp they can autoloot. Basically usko should be called turkko.
If you going to play new, the orc attila boss drops pendants like it should, but the human drops axes instead but the developers are too lazy to fix it. Also, this game is all about pvp but you tend to have screen freezes a lot too. If you are a new player, I suggest going to usko. At least there you can login and won't die to lag all the time. I usually go to the colony zone on myko and start running to bowl, or running around in the bowl shaped area and the ok button pops up a lot cause the opposite nation pked me and I didn't even see them around me anywhere. Instead of being fun, just makes you upset, trust me.

I've been playing it for a little and I see shouts about people loosing their items. They are doing dupe-cleaning. I've also seen quite alot of people getting banned for using KOSP.
What I find most irritating is the lack of knowledge in english by the turks that play. I'm constantly getting PMs in turkish and when I tell them to speak english they only respond with a "NO", then I tell them to move on. Offcause some of the turks respond in a better way with "no english", at least that is a good response where you know they at least try to be civil.
The game itself lacks game contents, but hey, it is a free of charge game. So don't complain about it.
yes that is fuked up for sure but l have to admit it l have never played a better pk than knight online's pk. believe it or not the best pk is KO for sure and also not only the turks using bugs everyone does and beside if the gamemasters are corrupt u cant blame the players.
note: pk is player killing for ppl who dun know
no that is not true... because in colony zone 50% of people are dupers so they have better items that fair player can ever have... also they use auto-heal, auto-MP so that makes them invincible... i just quit playing game... it is good BUT K2 don't know to do their job, TOO many lags to many dupers,cheaters and undeserved banns it just isn't good, if they ever make it p2p and with that improve game i will return becaause it is worth playing but when you reach lvl 60 with lots of work and find out that someone using KOSP can do that in 5 days... you just lose will to play

They're not trying their best. All they have to do is get rid of their GM's (the GM's don't do anything for the game, and their events are "HEY I JUST DROPPED BUNCH OF MONSTERS HERE GO KILL 'EM." So basically they are both pointless and useless.) Then they need to wipe all the existing characters from all their servers, tag all items in the db with unique id's that contain creation time information when they are dropped by a monster or sold by an NPC vendor, run weekly maintenance to remove all invalid tagged items from the game, set checks on characters in merchant mode for valid id before they can post an item in the merchant inventory, and tell their staff they are no longer allowed to play. They would make more money then, because people would actually buy Knight cash for the items they would need to improve their characters. Between the cheats and the suckups getting stuff for nothing from staff, I can't imagine they make any money from anyone other than new players coming into the game. Of course, as I can see from this forum, and others like it, that well will soon dry up unless they act.
In all fairness I do not think it is just Turks doing the cheating.
I think if the staff weren't allowed to play, they would probably get more work done on the game and the bugs would go away. After those were fixed and the checks were in place, a wipe takes care of the rest.
yea i was expecting this... OMG PPL!!!! They have ppl for GM's, ppl for the updates and so on! Look at this, they are getting more done now. THEY MUST'VE SEEN THE COMPLAINTES!!!! Soon enough hacking will be the least expected things and you noobs wont c it, now stop complaining. AND I REPEAT THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST! Theyve got themsleves in gear. Mayb their, hmm how should i say it, mayb the boss wasnt playing the game and finally noticed everything was messed up and he started getting mad at his staff! I mean, really, there have to be tons of ideas of why the games was so messed up.

What if you were the KO staff, and YOU didnt take care of your servers what would you do? Of course i know what youre going to answer in, youre going to say youd start getting them better. I DONT WANT A POSITIVE ANSWER!! KO just doesnt know that the HackShield that they use is made by the company tahts making hacks for KO....

Woo Hoo!! I think they are getting on task. They now have have more... hmm how to say this, its like Beramus1 they now have 4 of each svr, and when they get Onlympia (which i REALLY hope they do) you'll have to scroll to get to your svr!

Whoever works at KO are starting to have more of the same servers, like, Beramus 1,2,3,4... and now that Olympia is soon to come out, people will probably go tehre, WHICH will cause svrs to have less ppl... its an MMORPG... do you expect 20 ppl to be the only ppl playing the game?
Free MMORPG's = Not any good at all.
Mostly poor desperate people play Knight Online, because they're desperate in need of a MMORPG and spend up to 6 hours or more playing this crap... I find that pathetic.

All the servers, except olympia but its new, have 4 areas to join... Now, if your going to be mad at it, stop playing, stop posting here, AND DONT PLACE TOPICS THAT ARE TALKING BAD ABOUT!!!!
KO...basically all I can say (because you get flamed by Unreal_Mage unless you praise the game) is......
The game is free and a perfect example of "You get what you pay for".
Just my opinion not yours.
This games is bad, if u compare it to WoW. But u can only compare a free game with another free game. This is one of the best free mmorpg. The best ,what i think, is silkroad online. Try it, its also free forever.
