For people who preordered from square enix site

in Final Fantasy XIV
I wanted to know if anyone preordered the physical copy from the aquare enix site if anyone knows if do we get the game on the release date or does it only get shipped on the release date then we have to wait or do we get a download to play the game till we get it in the mail

    They give you a key with your order so I am going to suspect you can download the game weeks ahead of time so you can play on release day.

    I'm curious for the PS3 preorder. I have 1.0 on my PC, but I want to get the PS3 collectors for my girlfriend to play. Will there be a digital DL for the PS3 version?

    SE has a somewhat odd and somewhat worrisome site. I bought the digital CE so I cant really comment on what theyll be doing with shipping but all I got with mine was:

    1. A  serial number for the "Pre-Order Bonus Package" (not sure if thats the actual pre-order code or not yet)

    2. A pretty plain PDF file that tells me to go to http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ and register, aka put in my email address, so that theyll know to email me later when I can return to redeem my preorder code and instructions on getting the preorder items. Uh ... dont you have a record of my purchase? Cant anyone go to this site to "register"? I doubt they verified my purchase through just my email address.

    3. Says I have to download the game within 30 days ... mmmkay? Im assuming this is just a standard warning for other digital SP games that dont have subs but thats pretty messed up to have a time limit on any digital purchase if you ask me.

    4. Trying to log back into the SE site never works. I have to reset my password every time I want to log in.

    Not feeling very "safe" with my investment ATM but I am crossing my fingers that it all works out in the end.

    Don't feel unsafe!

     

    1. It's the preorder code

    2. Of course anyone can go to that, they will still get the email. But how could they register without a key? They can't. All it's going to tell you to do is go to the square site and register when it becomes available.

    3. As you said. 

    4. The site is a bit average but I haven't had this issue, sounds annoying!

    It is pretty annoying. Figured id wait until closer to release before making a big deal about it.
