Any "Monster Battle" Style MMO's?
So I know Nintendo, because they hate making money and are celebrating their worst 2 years back-to-back in over a quarter century as a company, has no plans to ever make or allow anyone else to make a Pokemon MMO.
My question is, are there any similar style MMO's already out there? Ones where the player's Avatar collects / finds / trains minions to do battle? I know there are a dozen or more knock-off Pokemon MMO's run by amateur coders which get shut down or re-made every few months, but is there any game out by an actual developer/publisher that has a similar style?
PS. I heard WoW added something like this in the last expansion, but I don't know the details and I assume its just a mini-game.

pokemmo is a ftp firered rom that has 100s of people playing at any given moment.

Player interest in monster-battle MMOs will generate several new KS projects, if it makes serious $$$.
