JoyBoy80JoyBoy80 Member UncommonPosts: 23

So just wanna start by saying that iam not one to complain and i never started a post befor but i feel like i have to say something here.

In the Item shop you can get gear that we all know. But there is a bundle you can get that say its for LvL50-59 and my toon just turnd 50 1day befor F2P. So i payed for the bundle thinking it will help me get to 60 a bit faster.  6h later and iam not wearing a single piece of the bundle set.. They say 50-59 but its more like 50-50.

DO NOT get this bundle !

ya sadly the SL expac apparently was like the Burning Crusade pack. everyone's gear got outdated really fast.

These Bundles probably scale with your lvl like the warfront and dungeon caches so opening them at 50 is the dumbest thing you can do since then you only get old pre sl lvl 50 stuff from them.

What i wannt ppl to know is that if you open it at lvl50 you will get pre-SL gear thats all. And selling pre-SL gear in the shop is just wrong.

I've said it time and time again on here.. people buying cash shop gear in Rift will quickly replace it. The gear buyers aren't winning, they are losing.

You don't know, though. So why don't you find out and link it before you start implying (or flat out saying) that OP is dumb? If you have any info on whether the stuff scales, I'd like to see it.

Ofc it scales why would it say LvL 50-59 otherwise? and as i said every item bundle in the game works this way be it from warfronts, dungeons, riddles or cairns so its save to assume the bundles from the shop use the same mechanics as the other ones.
Btw i didnt mean he was dumb just that its a dumb move in general if this came out wrong im sorry.

I will let out a warning of the things that are actually worth getting from the shop, everything else in my opinion is worthless:

    - Increase of trait skill (Profession slots, so you can have all professions in one character)

    - Increase in character limit (So you can have more than 6 alts, although not necessary more than 4 as those are the classes from the game, but in my case I need the extra storage)

    - 150% Mount speed (This is a no brainer, basically the best bang for your buck item in the shop)

    - Some costume sets (Rift is well known for a bland and uninspiring gear, but some of the costumes are "OK" looking)

    - 3, 15, 30 day Patron Status (I suggest you get the 30 days as its more cost effective, but if you dont play all that much, suit your needs with a smaller pack)

    - REX: Rift Exchange (Somewhat effective way to get Platinum in-game, average prices are 700-900 Platinum per each REX)

And that's it, if I am not mistaken, those are the only really good items you can buy from the shop, all else is rubbish and not worth it.

If you are a Star Wars fan, why not try the Star Wars The Old Republic?

Going to give some real Rift advice and wisdom from a long time player who knows what they are talking about.  The gear in store is great in situations when leveling in warfronts, and paying favor for the gear.  The gear that scales and is sold in bundles is fine for a whole ten levels.  But it's not nearly the best.  You have to play the game and make a real effort to get the best gear, and will involve world events/pve.  To label this thread rift store warning or something is not cool.  You should have titled the thread more appropriate to what you were intending, OP.  And that is . . . the best gear is not sold in store.  In fact, the items listed in the quote here of what is valuable in store is spot on.
