[Column] General: For Parents this Summer

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

School's out for summer, Mom & Dad, and your little progeny will be looking for things to get into. Why not keep them safely and happily occupied in a family friendly MMO? In today's Independency, we make a few suggestions for some of the best. Check it out before heading to the comments to chat.

Whatever your parental mode, (Stay at home, Go Out to Work, Telecommute, any and all combinations thereof) we understand that there is nothing so destructive, so completely and utterly derailing to a carefully planned work schedule as one’s own offspring when they are bored out of their little gourds, and looking to the nearest adult to entertain them. It’s as if the days expand and there are never enough craft projects, cartoons, trips to the pool, park or library to fill them in. Seriously, we’ve been there; we feel your pain.

    Then again,
Camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, sports, outdoor activities with friends is far better,
I know that this is a games sire but not everyone or every family sits around playing video games, eating frito and watching their waistline grow.

    Just saying :)

over 20 years of mmorpg's and counting...

Why would a gaming site write an article about camping and fishing?

Yes, its the new wave of parenting, you used to put them in front of a TV and forget your kids were there. Now you put them in front of a monitor and forget they are there. :D

If you read the article....they mentioned all these things.

Not everyone is doing this every second of the day. Some people enjoy unwinding at home.

    Read the article next time.

You must be bored...you came to a game site to troll the articles about playing games.
