so i wanna change my IP
how do i do it?

If your using a Static IP there is no way for you to change it unless your ISP provider is able to allow a change on their end.
If your not able to do so then your out of luck. If you are using a ISP such as MSN,AOL then you will be able to just reload the isp or rejoin the service and it will change.

Yea if you have dsl or anything higher you most likely wont be able to change the ip, but if your using dial-up all you do is go to the networksettings and repair, or just reload the program, those are the easiest.
Seriously no one will hack you, everyone just uses that as a threat, someone just messaged me on xfire threatening to crash my computer, and all that shit, i shut him up in 5 minutes saying i already know his ip and will hack him before he even try to hack me, and i also told him i was behind 3 firewalls (not true but it still shut him up) and so he never talked to me again.

There are 2 IP's your public which is only connected to your router and your personal IP. The personal IP is the numbers connected too your computer and that's the only IP that can hack your pc. The only way to change your personal IP is too get a new internet adapter installed. No one can hack your PC via your public IP.

If it is Dynamic IP address,you can change your IP address simply by resetting the modem.
If it is Static IP address,you can contact your Internet Service Provider[ISP] and request for a new IP address.
To check your Internet IP address visit the site IP-Details.com .
If you want to change IP to evade someone then just pick up a phone and call up your ISP.
If you want to hide your IP while dealing with someone then find some proxy servers to hide behind.
Or just wait 8 years and necro the thread.
