Experienced MMO, seeking solid LS

I know we have a couple of months before the release FF: ARR but I want to start looking for a solid linkshell to start getting acquainted with and hit FF hard with.

What I'm looking for is a group of people who enjoy the game, enjoy working together to build the LS,  help with lvl'ing/quest/gear, what ever is needed to make each player better and stronger so we knock out content quickly and efficiently. People that like to have fun and cut up, but know when to get serious and get stuff done, people who are competitive and enjoy teamwork.  My main focus is pve content, but I do enjoy PVP/questing/etc whatever is needed on off nights or when not downing content.  I'm not looking for a chill/casual guild . . . I want a guild that gets stuff done, but has fun at the same time.  I'm not looking for elitist, don't get me wrong . . .  you can be great at the game, super geared, know everything about it without being a total A-hole to everyone just because you can.

Also, I'm in CST and I prefer a LS that plans on doing the majority of their events at like 9 CST/7PST/8MST/10EST.  I work and have kids, married so I like to hang with them and help get them in bed and hang with the wife for a bit so I dont't get any wife aggro when I play lol.  I'm not sure what job I'll take up yet, it'll be there a tank or a physical DD (no casters).  I'm not much for healing or casting classes.

 My experience includes:

FFXI - THF/NIN, RNG/NIN, RNG/SAM (was what I played in sky, HNM, etc)

WoW - since the release of BWL in vanilla

Vanilla - all content including Naxx 40 man (rogue)

TBC - all content including 4/6 sunwell pre-nerf patch (rogue)

WotLK - all content including server first Algalon kill, I took a break shortly prior to the release of ICC due to new job, baby, moving, just real life issues that were more important  (rogue)

               Cata - all content  (paladin/prot)

Mist - played a few lvls a monk and that was it, Wow just wasn't fun anymore and the community is just too "toxic" to enjoy any part of it anymore

I've also played AoC, everquest, war hammer, and I just started playing GW2.

I just recently built myself a brand new gaming computer, benchmarked FFXIV at over 6100 on max settings so I know it'll be able to play the game pretty well.

If anybody is interested, and/or has the same mindset . . . please feel free to PM me or simply just reply on here!  Thx for checking out my post!

Hello! PainTrain is looking for more members! We are a mature bunch of gamers looking for like-minded individuals for FFXIV. We understand real life responsibilities. Most of us all hold down full time jobs and have families of our own. That's why when we log in to game, we like to cut loose and have fun all while getting shit done :) You'll find us all to be pretty friendly and goal oriented and love to help out our fellow guild mates. If we are the type of community you are looking for, please visit our website at http://ptxgaming.com/ and fill out a application. You can also drop into our TeamSpeak and chat with our leadership. Look for Shadowlord Pain, IEatCookies, or Midnite (Gil). If you have any other questions, PM me on this site or on our website (Shadowlord Pain).

    Hello Everythingzen8,

I am the community lead of Demented Asylum.  We are a casual progression guild.  Meaning we focus on progression but not at the expense of fun.  Our raid schedule isn't set up yet, but it will be similar to our Rift division likely 9-12 est, three nights a week.  We will vote on a raid schedule once members get closer to the end game content.  No point in me setting a schedule that doesn't fit our members needs.  I am labeling our FC as PVE as I dabble in pvp from time to time but focus primarily on pve.  I do however plan to take my first class with FF slower than I have in past MMO's.   Racing to end game in a FF is just silly.  FF is rich in lore and a great story.  This may mean other guilds get to end game faster than us, however once the story is done, I put 100% of my attention into raid content clearing.  You can find more info about our recruiting here or visit our website.  Feel free to PM me on our website if you have any questions.
