New Eorzea map design?

in Final Fantasy XIV

Hello there,

 

First time poster here but I'm very familiar with this site. I've been doing some research and found some info about the map designs. I wonder if the Eorzea world map will also become a new design as well? I found somewhere that the world map (mostly Eorzea) will be altered completely? Thanks.

    Yes sir. All new map. The entire game world has been redone, along with a new map. 

     

    I find the map somewhat irritating to use. But I've gotten used to it. They've stated they wish to alter it further, but I'm not certain.

    That's what I thought too. It sounded like Square Enix is planning to change the land mass or the continent itself after the events of FF14.
