Even without any real info on the game im still gonna have to say take my money Everquest!!! hahaha although that can change depending on the info in Aug but i dont think thats realy possible unless they trying to make people not buy it.
Oh, oh, remember all those times you've preordered? SWTOR? SimCity? I'm sure a hundred of other games?
But this time it will be different! He _loves_ me! He said he'll change! He was just tired and I was getting on his nerves, I was probably a very bad wife, I'll be good, he'll never hit me again!
If my choice of preordering it, made it p2p, sure, ill take the chance.
BUT...Signs point to f2p unfortunately, would prefer b2p or p2p, not sure f2p and sandbox are going to mix too well, if a new person can make a character and screw things up repeatedly (if you can really change the world for the good or bad with a brand new character). I think b2p or p2p would help limit this some, verse random guy making 100 accounts and doing the same things repeatedly.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Odds are for a free-to-play player to change the environment they would have to grind for hours much like grinding for certs in Planetside 2. It would probably happen eventually but would be much faster for subscribers to access.
Grindy F2P with a cash shop! Now I'll be damned if that's not a path to success! Why nobody never thought of that amazing model before? Not even single one of those Oriental F2P grindfests which fail so spectacularly in the west! Oh boy, I can't wait for the first grindy F2P with a cash shop!
I would for sure. Considering Camelot Unchained has raised over 2.5 million with what sounds much less promising then EQN (I left EQ for DAoC), I would assume EQN would do quite a bit better if players were given the chance. Can always cancel your order after Aug 2nd anyway...

Well, you are in luck! I think it should be out within 6-7 months (after preview that is)!
I can't believe people would pay for nothing but a name and nothing more to go on.
Dr Who Taking pre-orders now $50.00 be quick one time offer only.
Im not just going by name along but if uve veen reading up on the little bits of info they given bout EQN if there only 25% true its still gonna be a better game than whats out there on the market by other AAA devs companies.

This... is silly. you know nothing about the game. Stop acting like you do. youd pre order, thats cool, but youd do it because you "beleive" in the hype. nothing else.
I would do it because i'm an avid EQ fan, i've had a connection to all EQ games for the last 14 years. EQ is not like your typical mmo for many of the games fans,i would take my chances on this one.
No way on preorder. To many questions ATM. The only things we know at the moment are it uses the PS2 engine and someone said it's going to be sandbox.
they said sandbox about warz also, and we all know how that turned out. There is a real possibility that this could end up being a console version of WarZ with an Everquest skin on it.
Dumb question, but isn't Everquest Next free to play?
As in, download it the day it comes out and you're good to go? Unless you mean bonus type subscriptions for $5-10 a month or something. I was under the presumption that there isnt even a box price to pay like Guild Wars 2. Although if that was the case I wouldnt care, just assumed it was F2P download the day it comes out type deal.

SoE F2P games have all had a pre-order package that came with lots of goodies and beta keys etc. DP was the latest and it was 19.99 to 89.99 to pre-order goodies.

And ain't those who preordered DP for the tune of $90 happy with their decision, eh.
Oh. I'd go up to $20 I think. Depends how much goodies you get, I suppose. Not $60+ for a game I havent played though when its free to play, no.
I'm not really big on building houses and such in MMORPGs so if the goodies were mainly for that, I might not care unless it instantly got me into beta. But who knows, maybe EQN will get me into that type of thing
In SOE's past, you could pre-order up until the day previous to release. IMO, that is a very generous amount of time to hear from honest previewers (not biased game sites like this one) and beta testers who have been fans of the EQ franchise. There are still a few months to see how it will all really pan out.
Pre-ordering now? Based on what? The only thing we have are these silly crypic games Smed is playing with his potential customers. That doesn't entice me: it annoys me. No way am I going to simply hand over $$ for a product I know nothing about, and have never even seen a snippet of in-game footage.
When beta begins and the reports start rolling in from the credible fansites, then I'll listen and make a decision based on real information, not hype.

It's Everquest. I mean, come on.
Take my money!
Edit: I would expect a pre-order founder's option much like Planetside 2 had.

My theory anyhow.

Just tell me where to sign...!!!
kinda disappointed I will not be able to go to vegas for SOE even this year.

Just goes to show how powerful brand names are .
By the way I voted yes to pre ordering as well , but I also pre ordered SWTOR and quit after my free month .
