Got a simple question, when exactly does the open beta for the US and stuff come out for Rf Online? if there is a certain date.

    As far as I know the beta starts Q1 2006. The release date is 2/10/2006 I believe

    I have heard the beta might start mid december, if not then, it will probably start early january because the game does get released mid february.  The beta will be out sooner than later image   Just keep looking at www.rf-onlinegame.com for more information of when it might be released :)

    Yeah this game rules, i was in the PH Open Beta for a short period of time, im actually from the UK lol :p, but yeah i was playing that for a few days got to level 28, then they just decided to pull the plug on all international IP's, they banned everyone that wasnt in the PH, due to "Lag" and Terrortial issues, in other words "this is our beta **beep** off" lol :s mainly aimed at:
    1) US
    2) UK
    3) Japan
    4) Tiwian
    5) China

    which seems a bit silly (well not US and UK) as i thought numbers 3, 4 and 5 where in the PH, but ah well nevermind lol.

    Anyway I cant wait to get into the UK beta and start playing again -.^

    For those of you who aren't in a guild yet for when its realised, a few friends and i have started a guild up called Gods Of Warfare (GOW) btw our alligeance is with the Empire (Accretia), its still in progress atm but we got a working forum up and running, news getting screenies in there soon too :p. The site is Gods Of Warfare feel free to take a look and fill out an application form if your interested ^^

    so anyway i may see some of you around when the time comes :D

    beta news regarding slots, its looks very promising to all the ppl that have already signed up and registerd for the beta :p, as you will see from what is below. Enjoy.

    Beta News...

    Wow and I mean wow. The response to the beta subscriptions was phenomenal. It's safe to say that we have enough for the initial closed beta run. In fact it may be possible to extend our welcoming arms beyond the original number to let a few more of you guys in on the RF fun... and testing of course.

    The all new text strings for the game have been finalised and are currently being implemented into the game by the development team so we will have something nice and English for you all to test.

    No confirmation mails have been sent out yet for the beta, but when they do go out, they will contain information on signing up for your all new C.O.G Account which will centralise your game accounts for any of our MMO titles, plus allow you to input that all so special beta key. I will put out an All Points Bulletin on the forum when we start to send out the emails so you don’t miss them.

    I do wonder though, will they do a character wipe when transitioning from open beta to the release of the game?  I think the philippine version is not wiping characters during that transition, so any characters made during the open beta stage are free for the users to use during the game's release too.

     

    I wonder if codemasters has made any mention towards this, does anyone know?  I'd be really interested to know, I personally would rather that they did allow characters in open beta to carry over to the game's release. image

    well i know that in the PH beta during the closed beta ppl who had characters in that where wiped when the open beta came live, but after that they said that, that was it no more character wipes, meaning the players could have there characters carried on after the game became retail.

    As for the codemasters im not sure they may follow in the footsteps of CCR but then again we'll have to see, i cant see why they would wipe the characters once the open beta is avaiable and after the game becomes retail, i guess we'll just have to wait and see ::::01::

    I think the closed beta started on the 15th, not the tenth.

    Yes, they do wipe the characters after the closed beta but the open beta is the real thing with no character wipes

    Right, but that's the philippine version. Has codemasters stated that they will follow Levelup in making the same decision to not wipe between the Open and Release transition? (Was referring to the NA/UK version lol, sorry I didn't specify)

    Yeah to me it would seem to be more of a wise move NOT to delete characters between the Open Beta and Official Release transitions. I mean, when you let someone keep their character its kind of like more incentive to buy the game, whereas if my character were wiped and I had to buy the game and restart all over, I would be less inclined to buy the game (though I did say "less inclined", I'm not saying I wouldnt still play because of a wipe, I've beta'd many MMOs so wipes aren't too big of a deal).

    I really hope that Codemasters makes a smart move like Levelup and decide to let players keep their Open Beta characters :)

    heh im sure they will ::::17::. They will probably wipe characters after the closed beta when it goes into the open beta after that im sure there wil be no more character wipes ::::01:: ::::28::
