Who else is excited that

in Final Fantasy XIV
Cross realm duty finder will be in this weekend's beta? Im loving the idea, because before we'd have to shout for hours to get a group (I even made a group of all marauders because we all couldnt get a group, finished it too amazingly). I really cant wait to try it out and get all the rest of the dungeons I need done. Who else is excited about this feature?

Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

    I am! The wait sucks and I get to meet people from other servers. I wonder if it will have an option so you can find parties with people of the same server  for those people who prefer not to play with other people from other servers..

    From my understanding it won't be in this weekend. The word on the beta forums was that the duty finder had gotten pushed back. I to was so looking forward to this feature it makes it so much easier to play the group content in MMOs, as much as others may oppose DF tools. I never liked the server only DF tools because they never worked so well, if you couldn't get a healer or tank via spamming LFG. How exactly did a server side DF solve this problem? It didn't and I know this from first hand experience when RIFT first introduced their server side only DF tool, and it really doesn't help those that are on low population servers either. I welcome the cross sever DF for FF 14 and can't wait to actually test or use it.

    I really am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but 

     

    "Although testing of the duty finder was scheduled for Test 3, final QA checks of the system are still in progress. Stress testing of the duty finder will be conducted during Test 4 at the earliest."

     

    :/ 

    So probably next weekend

    Phase four is end of july. This really sucks, I guess Ill spend my whole beta like last weekend standing around shouting and being bored as fuck

    Test 4, not Phase 4. 

     

    Phase 3 is separated into 4 Tests. -_-' Did you read the Testing Schedule?

    I wasnt going to do that until open beta. Besides having a LS by no way means getting your group content done (ffxi looking at you)

    word of advise, never shout. I rarely get a reply from shouting, instead I go and search the classes and level and whisper anyone who is not in a group, usually end up forming 4man group no longer than 10min max.

     

    I just read the beta forums, turns out the duty finder still havent passed their QA team. so hopefully it doesnt have a major bug :S

    There is a post on the Forums about Phase 3 being separated into 4 tests, but I can't seem to find it. 

    But rest assured, it is (most likely)  Test 4 and not Phase 4. 

     

    This goes without saying but everything is still subject to change. 

     

    Edit for clarification: I said "most likely" not because I wan't sure if they meant test4 or phase4, but because they could delay it again. But at the moment it is intended for Phase 3 Test 4.

    Even when in a good guild,  a good dungeonfinder is important to me, its a way to find groups at any time, i just cant stand the LFG in chat or guildchat  no more...

    Its all good, here is to hoping it comes next weekend. I guess Ill work on armorer/mining instead this weekend

    Its a necessary evil unfortunately, in this age of instant gratification and antisocialness. /shrug

    Its nice to have but the drawbacks kinda cancel it out.

    Oh and its 4 tests, at least thats the plan so far...

    umm ive read.phase 3 ends july 14 which is 5 test
