So where do I download the game from?

in Final Fantasy XIV

I finally got a working beta key after being sent 4/5 non working ones and I was expecting a download link or something but now oh look another hurdle.......

    You need to be signed in to the Beta Test Forums, but here is the link to the test client download and instructions on how to install it.

    There is always lots of hurdles with Square,highest security of any developer,you just need to read everything carefully as it does say you need to register to the forums to finally get the D/l.

    I originally missed it as well in haste and i don't like to read much lol.

    Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    OMG how annoying it was to get to the client download.

    I made two accounts, giving them my home adress and my mother's maiden name twice, having to confirm I am a human ten times at least (failing it 20) and plug in my beta-key, chose a forum name, confirm my accounts, log in yet again and confirm I am a human (I'm not so sure I am anymore.)

    But at last I got there. I'm downloading it now.

    funny thing is i kinda had them issue back int he ffxi days only when i lost my account or something havent had a bit of issues with 1.0

    Does the download actually work for you guys? After i went through a ridiculous hassle with the registering etc, my download keeps stopping with a server error eventually.

    The speed is good, but i have to re-login about every 50mb. At least the launcher supports resuming, but it's still annoying.

    Just when i said that the launcher supports resuming (which it did for the last 5+ disconnects), i got disconnected again and the download started from 0.

    This whole thing is a mess on SE's side.

    Yes, it worked like a charm. I'm ingame now.

    I would have sent you the link to where I downloaded the patcher, but it asked me to log in again and my tummy hurts.

    I guess you got to the patcher anyhow. Best of luck.
