OK now that SOE has ruined 100 million lives where are all the old SWG people going?

Its a bad cold Day....over a million people are betrayed and left homeless..where do we go?  SWG is all but over guys so where are the "last of the jedi" going to now?  Im personally thinking of RF online for one of my choices...so if there are any holo grinders still gaming lemme know what ya guys are up to

    I was a holo grinder who left SWG after the CU. now im back (no i did not respec a jedi they dont belong in the game)sorry you had your game changed from under your feet and can no longer rule everyone bro but keep your eyes on Tabula Rasa. This is a skill based game with no alpha class but you still might fit in somewhere .

    What they gonna do with SWG 2? make it where there is no more work yer ass off like no body's business for jedi  or just give jedi over to noobs? oh wait they are all ready doing that...lucky lil noobs...thats right..enjoy yer jedi...never will it be like it used to and never will u be proud like those before u were

    I moved to CoV/H and EvE-Online. Switching between them every month. DAoC is also good game - just bit too much min-max and grinding game and for me image

    If you really think about what you had to do to be a jedi...in a computer game, is there anything to be proud about ?

    Maybe they all went to Cloud City to carbon-freeze themselves until:

    - SOE fills for bankruptcy and gets vaporized by a Death Star laser blast

    - Lucas Arts understands that MMORPG developments should not be handled by protocol droids

    - John Smedley joins Boba Fett into the Sarlacc's digestive tract

    Ruined lives? Talk about melodrama... the only people I feel sorry for are those dumb enough to buy 6+ accounts. I don't care how cool the game was when it first came out (it was pretty sweet), spending that much money just so you could have a bunch of characters on one server is ludicrous.

    Tru when u think about it it basicly meant u had no life for about a year, but in the end u earned it, it was yours , u worked for it, it was never just handed over till now

    Only those who chose to have no lives. Common sense dictates that if you're willing to admit you wasted a year playing video games, it's your own fault. It's as ridiculous a situation as that idiot who sued McDonalds for "making him fat." He chose to stuff himself with food EVERYONE KNOWS is unhealthy, and you knowingly spent a year making yourself a jedi. Your choice, you ruined your own life.

    Hmmm... I think they grinded like mad with their jedi characters thinking that in the end they would be the more powerful characters in the game and feel great because it was hard.

    The NGE seem to have made it all much more easy, litterally crushing their sense of accomplishment in the process.

    So they didn't feel like wasting their time then, but they do now...

    Mind you, it's one more reason to avoid playing a MMORPG (or some part of it) in which the fun is not in the journey but only in the reward at the end. image

    Sadly many people feel this way.  They worked their butts off for Jedi only to have it passed out in the end.  A slap in the face yes, but ruining your life it should not. 

    I chose not go jedi simply because the grind made the game completely not fun for me.  I wasn't one of those people who slaved over ever profession to unlock a jedi.  Then they changed the way you attained jedi for the first time.  Yay no more hologrinders.  If you think about it the system was silly, you worked your tale off to be glowy and then you were sent to the village.  Were you a jedi then? Nope you went through a ridiculous set of quests and converting your experience into a force tree...once that was filled up you finally unlocked your jedi.  But wait! To be master jedi now you have grind millions of exp.  The old system admittedly needed tweaked but it was also a bit of a waste of time.  I do not agree with handing them out either.  There were many other things SOE/LA could have done.  We all know that. 

    As for bitterness those feelings are very slowly fading for me.  My life wasn't wasted at SWG but my Twi'lek's was as she is now permantly shelved.  What I have left over from it all are wonderful memories that will make almost anyone laugh and several friends I will move onto different games with. 

    I'm not currently playing any games but I am researching several.
