What other game do you play along with GW2?

gamekid2kgamekid2k Member Posts: 360

One thing I noticed is when I used to play wow we had a large number of people in the guild that used to play DOTA.

Now I am playing Dark Fall Unholy Wars now and we have may clan members playing league of legends when not playing DFUW.

Which game is a perfect supplement for GW2? Link  a good video you found of the game you are playing in here.

Now Playing: DARKFALL Unholy Wars "Return to Open World, Full Loot PvP, Conquest in a Sandbox MMO with player driven economy! Just like classic MMOs!"

I started playing Neverwinter but after the AD fiasco I find myself just logging in to pray and craft.  I'm a lifer in LOTRO and recently returned to check out the war mounts, but the combat pales in comparison to GW2.  So I guess I really don't have an ideal game to play along with GW2 at the moment.

What are you doing in here?  Believe it or not (see below) I found out that many people pay $15 a month for Dark Fall only to retain their right to post in the official forums.  They are called forumfall.  I guess today I learned that  forumfall must not be exclusive to Dark Fall. Even GW has its share:

    Here is the funny snippet:

    darkfall addiction

"Man I wish I could play right now but at work :'( this game makes me wanna be a teen again with no job lol . I wish there was something darkfall related on android to tinker with while not at your pc. "                                                                                     "After you have played long enough to be a self proclaimed vet, or as some have stated, "won darkfall" then you can move on to 'forumfall' which is the end game to Darkfall. In forumfall, you quit playing, but still complain on the forums about how awful the game is to those who are actually enjoying it. Cool thing is, you can play right from your phone!"

Thats the beauty with B2P is that I'm not forced to log in every day, so I log in to GW2 when I feel like it, my side MMO is EVE have played on and off since release.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

Lately, my "other" game is Starmade. Yesterday, however, was dedicated towards the new jumping puzzle (made it!) and WvW.

    Oderint, dum metuant.

SWTOR, Countless Steam games (Bioshock Infinite is just GOTY material), PS3 (Last of Us is just GOTY material) and Starcraft2.

Mostly single-player games. MMO wise, TSW was nice, but I wasn't into its dungeon-focused endgame. Other than that, unfortunately the new MMOs I've tried haven't been particularly impressive and EVE is... well, EVE. I am, however, eager to check out ArcheAge and maybe the new FF14.

    I play TSW alongside GW2

I think they compliment each other very nicely.

Playing SWTOR a lot and some TSW, but only because there is not enough story based quests in GW2. On top of that i ply some of the other f2p games from time to time but they in general quickly make me realise that they are a thing of the past and surpassed by GW2´s world design and active combat , while not giving me my currently favourite part of the other 2 games, indepth voiced over immersing stories.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

I became so bored of WoW, that my husband and I finally, once and for all, unsubscribed to it. A couple months later, we decided to pick up GW2, which has been a good staple, here and there, but I can't find myself as passionate to log in daily.

Just today I decided to revisit TERA, and I'm hoping to play FFXIV when it comes out, although I might wait on reviews first. If all else fails, I'll try Wildstar when it comes out, TESO, and WoD (which I'll probably stay with forever).

I'm not playing Guild Wars 2. There's really no content in the game after 2-3 80's with 100% completion. However, I'm playing several different games occasionally while waiting for Final Fantasy XIV: ARR which are: Dota2, Wakfu, Uncharted Waters Online, Star Trek, Eden Eternal, and the occasional Minecraft.

Maybe Arena net will actually put forth some effort and create some real lasting content for the game; but until then I have no intention of going back. Guild Wars 2 is such a let down, nothing but temporary content teasers showing me what the game could have had if the developer team didn't actually do the 'living story' content.

I have to laugh when I read your post - I have 800 hours into GW2 and 3 level 80's but all at around 50% explored only. How much time did you actually spend playing? 8-10 hours a day  I bet, if not more (and don't say that it was less than that because that would be impossible). You know if you did that with Rift or WoW, when they first came out, you would have said the same thing and would have been done much sooner.  In Rift, I had a max level and explored it all in about 3 weeks of casual playing - the game was initially that small.
