Up to now we don't know what payment method it will have in US/EU. It was P2P in Korea and is now F2P with some kind of Premium Membership Model.
In Japan it is full P2P including Box Price. Trion is figureing out how it will be for us. But if you ask me, and as at the moment all games from Trion are F2P (Rift converted recently to F2P) it looks a lot like it will either be F2P or B2P. Although i would wish it would be P2P without any cashshop like in Japan.
And.. at the moment it is not even in Beta here.. or only a very small and restricted closed beta? (friend&family?)
Honestly I don't know why its taking so long, all they had to do was translate this thing that was already released in asia. Normal time for this is 6 to 8 months and they have already ate a huge chunk of that away.
Unless they are westernizing it, then it will probably not do so well. So f2p would probably be an outcome.
They have to do it for 3 languages(english, german, france, or is even spanish included?), and they don't only have to translate text, they do have to adjust graphics to fit with the new language (size of language korea signs in comparsion to latin languages), they have to do voice overs, and so on and so forth.
And they have to adjust other things.. do the 1:1 copy of the korean game, or do they change some elements(like the Japan versions). What payment model, with or without cashshop. What is with the cashshop items, if they do not have one? And so on and so forth. And finally testing all of it to be a polished experience. We know a lot of bad conversions.. how about the translation from Age of Wushu? They better take the necessary time and do it right.
