clarification: is this game is a cross platform between ps3 and pc?

Would that means someone in his living room with his ps3 could be partying with a tank who's sitting on a toilet with laptop ?

and if somebody owns both versions, PS3 and PC, and has both keys tied to the same account, that account can be shared (just not at the same time) across both platforms.

I do find it interesting that ffxi and ffxiv can successfully cross platform an MMO, but apparently it is not possible with other projects. The supposed advantage of a pc vs a console gamer is easily overcome with the ps3's (and soon ps4) capabilities to use a mouse and keyboard. I have had no issue bouncing between one or the other. Sure my pc has better capabilities with graphics and load times, but sitting on my couch on a much larger screen with my wife beats sitting at a desk glued to a monitor by myself, at least imo.
