Nostalgia Trip?

I played EQ from launch to PoP, haven't really been back since.  Is there any point trying it again to re-kindle some of those old EQ feelings, or has the game changed so much that it's impossible to go back?  Worth playing around in while waiting for EQNext?  Whatcha think?

Thanks!

Same. Played Launch till end of PoP.

I went back to have a look, here's how I felt.

    - Nostalgic. It's definately kinda cool running around old Norrath.

    - Lost. Things have changed, not always for the better.

    - Disappointed. It's true what they say, you can never go back.

Hmm.  I guess I'm most concerned that I'll go to Freeport or Oasis and not see another living soul.

I thought about Project 1999, but it seems it requires a copy of EQ Platinum.

I went back after abut 8 years away.  Though I will admit I did check in a few times during those 8 years.  I recommend if you come back that you try Vox because there is a wide range of players all kinds of levels.  If you go on a classic server most players PL to 100 and hard to find people to play with.  I play EQ for the social aspect.  Met a nice group of people that I love to play with.  IMO best community of players usually.  Not that everyone that plays is great just a lot are nice.  I wish I had caught the progression servers at the start.....

You can torrent EQ Titanium and it will work. I used piratebay.org to get it to be honest and got it to work.
