Just got my beta invite...problem! help please.

So I just got me beta invite and following the email to input my key and said it went trough fine. So I tried logging in to the beta forum and it keeps saying the password and ID are incorrect. Is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: I know my ID and password are correct because I can sign into the management system.

EDIT2: I can no longer sign into the account management at all. Even after resetting my password.

EDIT3: So it seems all is OK. I don't know what happened. I simply kept trying and it went through all of a sudden. perhaps there was maintenance, perhaps sending in a ticket got them to fix it. But all is good with the world again! Thanks everyone who was there to help.

    Login should be same info as account management

    Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

    Now it's even weirder. I can't log in to anything. Even after I reset my password and put in my newly created password and email address, it says incorrect. 

    EDIT: Very weird because if I try to change the password by inputting the same password as the previous it'll say that I can't change it because it's the same password I had, but I can't log in with that password...

    I dont know to describe it in another Way...but i'll try.

     

    Sometimes your Emailadress is meant as ID and sometimes your "Accountname" is meant as ID.

    For the Forums you need your Accountname. Also to login in Patcher.

    Have you tried that? Another thing is the Password in the Patcher. If you have an @ inside your PW, it might not work, so you have to copy and paste that.

    Thanks for the reply. I can't even log in to the management system now, even after reseting my password for the past 2 hours and inputing the new passwords. For management system, I tried logging in with both my email and ID and neither worked. However if I put in the old password when resetting my password it always detects it and shows the error. I have no clue what else to do, so I keep doing the same thing over and over hoping for different results.

    I had this exact issue and figured out I was at the na.square-enix.com site and the user database is different from Square-enix.com...hope this helps.

    Make sure the web address is Square-enix.com and not the north american one

    PS. I found this confusing as well as I am in Canada.

    Follow the instructions on the email link they sent you.  You need to register a username for the forums (which is the link they give you) even though you have a SE account already, then you can access the forums and download the client.

    I've tried firefox, IE and Chrome.

    I could understand not getting into the beta forum because it didn't start yet, however I can't even log in to my account atm at all. 

    I've just clicked on the links they gave me to get the addresses, so I can't see any mistake I could be making there.

    Since I can't sign into the forum at all (not even my account), I can't really choose a nickname.

    Just a verification for you; I could use the second Button on that Page (Login to the Boards) and the Boards are up/online, so that should work.

    The only thing I can suggest at this point is to have them resend a password reset mail for your account. At the very least, verify that they have recorded your account as legit.

     

    I've had some really strange dealings with SE and accounts, where I couldn't log in any place on their site but could log in to the game with a client. I think in the end I did what I suggested. Got a PW reset email, eventually it worked.

    This is actually what I have been doing for the past 2 hours. However I can't log in anywhere even after I reset my password. I sent them a ticket hoping they can do something about it. Would have been nice to have chat option.

    OP....If your Square Enix ID and your Account Management username are one and the same then you will have to contact support to get your password reset. I, however suspect that they are two different logins. Reason why I say this is, I had this very same problem and could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong. My account management username was my email addy and my square enix id was a made-up character name. I am thinking that is the same case for you. Try using the Square Enix ID to login into the site and forums...not the account management username. Give that a shot. Make sure you are using the square enix id associated with the account management email addy.

    How long does it usually take them to respond? It's just all so weird because I logged in fine until I inserted my beta code. Since then, I haven't been able to log in to anything at all. Not the management system nor the beta forum. I don't ever remember creating an ID besides the email address I signed up with. I sent them an ticket about an hour ago, and just sent them another one not knowing it was the same thing.

    MY wife had the same problem logging into her account.She just gave up trying after a while.

    I would strongly advise her to reconsider and contact support and resetting the password one more time before doing so. It seems there was some maintenance on the log in since I'm getting pop up I never received before.
