EverQuest Next: Join Social Sites to Unlock Character Wallpapers

Sony Online Entertainment is slowly getting the Everquest Next site going and now features a call to fans of the forthcoming game to join the various social networks devoted to the game. After joining specific channels, new character wallpapers will be made available.

In honor of EverQuest Next's worldwide debut, fantasy artist Gabor Sziksai has reinterpreted Keith Parkinson's original EverQuest masterpiece. On July 30th, the full piece will be available for download. You can speed up the process, and download exclusive EverQuest Next wallpapers, by joining our social networks.

    It doesn't look like its going to take long to unlock everything as the unlock page has already went up by 5% since this article was posted  ^_^

    Little pandering....but what do you expect these days.

    Suppose fans are chomping at the bits for anything though.

    Still playing the first Everquest.   Crap like this I do not care about since I avoid social media anyways.  Hopefully Next will be a better successor than Everquest 2 was (which probably has a lower population than EQ1 at this point).

    Really love the art style, hope it reflects the in-game visuals. Stylised always lasts longer than realism too.

    EQ2 has a much higher pop than EQ1.

    Wow, that artstyle is much more strongly reminiscent of EQ1 than EQ2, getting a real good vibe from that character art.

    Well its a redone EQ1 artwork, but I agree. EQ2 missed the mark art wise for many years.

    Oversized shoulder pads? Check. Underdressed women? Check. Yep, that's an MMORPG alright.

    I think these days we could identify almost any games genre purely from its concept art.

    I really hope joining social sites is never mentioned again. If I want to join a site I will join it. I will not join it for a video game. If I have to join social sites for a video game, I would rather not play the game. I am already busy enough. I love to play mmorpgs in my spare time but I am very busy and usually my spare time is very limited ( im the guy in greens thats half way to level cap after 2 months of gameplay) so joining social sites and then maintaining them is a waste of my time. They are neat but for me it's a waste of time.

    You had enough time to write this paragraph in this site which is also social in its own way.

    2014 and still the max resolution wallpaper is 1080p? :(
