Anyone here play the Phillipines Beta?
I played a few days in the Phillipines beta. I am interested to hear what others who played in this beta thought. I also wonder what, if anything, will be added in the US/UK beta, as this might be a newer build with added features. I hope.
Frankly, I thought the Phillipine beta was a major disappointment. The gamepley was severely lackluster and uninteresting. One of the odd things I noticed is that this game actually looks much, much better in screenshots than it does while moving.
I am hoping they do major work on gameplay and character models. Overall, I would rate the FP beta a 2 out of 10. I gave it a 2 because they spelled RF right.

Like alot of grinding games, it takes more than a few days to understand the gameplay. I do like the three realm concept which is something that more games should have - two opposing factions just isn't enough. The game does look alot like Lineage 2 - everyone looks the same and has an odd, forward-leaning walk. No, I didn't play in the beta but I've watched alot of gameplay movies. It looks like a cross between Lineage 2 and Guild Wars.
Codemasters are basically "localizing" this game for English speakers and aside from adjusting the grinding difficulty, I doubt they are doing much to enhance the game.
That's disappointing to hear, Kelsonmac. The screenshots and teasers look gorgeous...and those Bellato MAU's! Oh well, never hurts to lower the expectations, but I'm still anxious to try it out.
I played (sneak peak, open beta)before they blocked foregin ips, but u can stll play throug proxy. As for the game itself its much funier then L2, some ppls are even leawing WoW to play this game(dunno if those are rumors or true).If u havent played this game u should give it a trye, its a good game (RVR like DAoC or RYL)and deservs its place as one of most anticipated MMORPG'S.
i played at the PH RF and i can say that i liked it alot...and i only managed to reach lvl 18
...i wanna see how it is in the big lvls were all the action is...RvsR or PvsP.
till now i like this game alot and rit is like the screenshots,i've also seen pvp videos and its like it again...what you see is what you get

I never got into the Phillipine beta, I was too busy with my college classes (and still am, taking my last final later today, wish me luck!). Aside from that, I was also busy playing WoW before that.
But I did however get to play the Korean beta last year, was pretty entertaining though I really wish I'd have played the phillipine version so I could have understood it better, or the Japanese beta since I've been studying Japanese here in college and hard core independantly on top of that
I've yet to experience the high end game sadly, I'm hoping the RvRvR will be great, the rest was fun ^_^

Screenshots of the game definately look better than the game itself. Many people, when looking at screenshots, immedietly consider RF Online similar to Lineage 2. Frankly, I think it more closely resembles World of Warcraft.

i played jap. and philip. beta.
i think the games is a great one. the level-grind till level 30 (4 days) is not as hard as i expected, so very easy going.
if you think the variaty of chardesigns is too low, than do not join this game! it's like other korean games and there will be no character customization for NA/EUR-players. if u need to be individual, than move on to another game!
btw: it IS the L2- graphic-engine !!! so y should it look similar to wow????

This game in no way resembles Lineage 2 graphically. The only exceptions are the Cora race, which somewhat resemble Lineage 2 Light Elves. Even then, the RF Online characters are nowhere near as detailed as Lineage 2 characters. In RF Online, the armor sets are absolutely painted on, where Lineage 2 armor sets look like they are actually worn by the character (complete with moving armor parts).
The biggest resemblance to World of Warcraft is in the structures. Buildings have cartoon-like colors both inside and out. Also, the textures used for the ground textures and other ambient textures in no way resemble Lineage 2 whatsoever. They do, however, somewhat resemble World of Warcraft.
If you are expecting Lineage 2 type graphics in this game, you will be disappointed. They might use the same engine . . but if you stick a Ferarri engine on a go-cart, you still have a go-cart with a wasted engine.

it is like L2 graphs in the elfs part...but the other stuff are not like WOW also...there are not square cartoon characters... thats what i like in this game...you can also see the acretia

Lineage 2 uses the Unreal graphics engine, RFOnline uses the new R3 graphics engine
Is it just me... or does eveyone think that quadrapelegics are greedy? "i can't reach that" "i'm not tall enough" i mean c'mon now
