I've been on a Mortal Kombat kick lately using the Hori Real Arcade Pro fighting stick. Has anyone attempted to make modifications to this stick? I would really like to change the stick itself from the ball type to a straighter stick like you used to see in the old Street Fighter 2 arcades.
Anyone know which parts are compatible?

Shoryuken.com forums should have the info you're looking for. I use an hrap v3 myself. You should try to get used to the Japanese style stick. Its a lot more responsive and requires less physical effort.
I've tried to get to get used to it. I can deal with it but I'd still much prefer the old arcade stick.
Based on what I've been reading, replacing the buttons isn't that difficult but replacing the stick is pain in the ass.

Yeah you have to get a frame that is deep enough. I think the street fighter 4 stick from madcatz works. Also make sure you get an 8 way instead of a 4 way base otherwise it will still feel weird for you
