Anyone have any idea how the big battles will work? i was hoping for thousands of Npc/Pc players in a huge battle when i was looking at this game.. Anyone know if there will be that big of battles and how they would work would really be great...
Basically, whoever buys the most sesterces/in-game coin with real money, will be able to hire and train the best army.
Open that wallet wide.

i think players are able to fully loot one another, i dont think everyone would be willing to risk losing all their belongings that they've spent so much time getting. They've also mentioned that real money > in-game money would be restricted in a way that you couldnt get super rich and get a big advantage over others. also you cant hire massive legions of NPC's , maybe just a small group.
Yea, I just can't understand some people. Is your life's goal to trash talk RV? The worst thing of them all is that you have absolutely no clue about the game and still think you know the best. If you read the official pages you'd see that you can't buy an infinite amount of money. RB seeked to this early on.
So what is the lifetime limit of sesterces/in-game coin that a single account may buy?
I tried to get an answer to this before and got no response.

Without a lifetime limit per account, you can buy an infinite amount of sesterces/in-game coin.
That supports my original premise.

Actually, your statement is false. You would certainly die before accumulating the "infinite wealth" you are so worried about. If you take REALLY good care of yourself and the servers hold up REALLY well, the sun will expand and consume the earth in about 5 billion years. Now, if you have moved yourself and the game servers off-planet by that point, you still have to contend with the end of the universe itself. Current models suggest the universe will either collapse on itself (likely destroying the game servers and its player base) or expand endlessly, growing increasingly cold until everything is frozen to 0 degrees kelvin, resulting in unacceptable Ping.

0 degrees kelvin.... I'm pretty sure you just made that term up, for all we know it could mean it's 93 F and sunny
Actually Kelvin is an actual measurement for temperature. It's commonly used in Chemistry as oppose to Celsius. Basically, Kelvin is Celsius + 275.25 (or some such number)

Apparently you are in beta yet you have no confirmation of a finite limit per account either.
Since the revenue model is based on selling in-game coin, there won't be, which supports my premise.

Well i guess you must be right. The devs must be laboring all day, neglecting life just to trick us into believing they are working on something. Nasty KFR, I cant believe you would trick your loyal fans with your "hardworking", "bug squashing", " dont actually get paid while in development" attitude. Pshh... to think I believed in you...
O and by the way Jorev, even If I was in beta, why would I give you information the devs havnt officially release to the public. I do believe that would be breaking the NDA, and if im not mistaken, thats a crime.
Why would there be a limit? How would server/bandwidth management be payed for? Customer service even?
Do other games just stop letting you play after a year and say "we arn't going to charge anymore and since we arn't charging we will lose money trying to upkeep the servers so the game is now gone."?
Didn't think so. Try thinking a little bit. Maybe Guild Wars doesn't charge monthly but, somehow I doubt they ever intended people to play it more than 3 years seeing how they made lots of fun real fast but, not lasting fun. And they will probably only have a couple of expansions.
Games arn't a public service, the companies are trying to make money and they have to maintain servers.

I agree with you 100%. That's what I have been saying all along.
There will be no limit to how much in-game coin you can buy for the reasons you stated, therefore, those who buys more in-game coin, will always have an advantage.

Of course people who buy more in game money will have an advantage - but it is not true to say that they will have a stranglehold on the game. There will be many guilds with dozens of members who will be capable of generating much money in game money and goods than one person ever could - no matter how much they spend. This is not not something to worry about unless you want to play roma victor solo with no help/interaction with anyone.

What OrigiNomad said is unconfirmed. There is no information about that whatsoever. Any statement is pure speculation.
