I like the idea but this may not even be technically possible without a special effort, because it would mean you have to be logged into 2 different accounts at the same time from the same console.
It is technically possible, as Sacred 2 also required you to sign in under 2 different profiles. I'm also assuming Diablo 3 will require the same. You can also sign in multiple users under different accounts in many games, such as CoD.
split screen is a must. The more "modern" they try to make things the more limited the experience making everything based on online conections. Even on the internet i should be able to play split screen coop with my friends when they come to my house or i go to theirs. Or with family. WHen i visited my cousing back in my country we went through a lot of shit just to play Gears of War on split screen multiplayer (not horde or campaign coop, actual multi player). And most other games dont even offer it.
Technology advances fast, all this things should be easier to do, not be completely forgotten and removed.
EDIT: i didnt notice it was talking about TESO, i was talking about general console gaming. WIth an mmo it would be hard to do since your console has one client installed for one account only. If it can run 2 clients or let one client have 2 accounts then you could make it work.

I didn't vote because I don't think it's a must like rojo above. It's a great idea, though I'm not sure i want to share my 70" screen with anyone lol. In these forums, everything is a must so its no wonder all games are doomed to Fail before open beta lol. I'll vote if you add a choice that says "great idea, I want it, but not a must" lol
You could use active full screen split screen with a 3d tv, if you absolutely had to have the whole screen. With a minimal hud interface I'd expect that it wouldn't get too crowded. Borderlands 2 played fine with split screen on my 42 inch. It didn't feel too distracting, but I guess it's all about preference.

It is possible. Check Micro machines adn Top Gear for Super Nintendo. Enormous fun
My two brothers and I all share a PS3 (one of which is interested in ESO) so a split screen feature would be much appreciated. Without the split screen, I know I would lose a lot of the enjoyment from the gameplay if I have to take turns. Also, buying a new system completely and a new T.V. to go with it is really out of the question due to the extreme expense.
I'm no technical genious (probably didnt spell it right). But when new systems come out there should be major upgrades to the systems...something more than better graphics....or yelling Xbox turn on and wipe my a&%.
Would it be totally out of the question to run a seperate line from the same console to another tv and use two tv's but only one console??? Just wondering.
Seems like they want to stick with making you buy 2 consoles instead of another line...but like i said i'm no technilogical genious.

There Is Always Hope!
Unless the tv was really big...but even then it'd still be distracting.
I'd hate it..

Pretty much this.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!
I'd love it.
