too many uninformed noobs. the majority of the people swarming that Q&A were new accounts turning it into the Dead Marshes and Paul had to traverse around dead bodies and crap. One person even asked if there were dragons in the game Those who have been involved in the forum community on either MMORPG.com and others like Tamriel Foundry were almost non-existent. I believe Sage even said himself that he didn't want to seem like he was picking the easy questions. Really frustrating. Especially for those who have been involved since the announcement and forums openning up, and have rather important questions. Albeit, there were some good questions, but most would have been handily rectified with a simple google search, or forum readings. *sigh*

What are you talking about? I thought the questions were good. This is not Hardball; the point is not to grill Mr. Sage on tough questions. The point is to learn more about the game as best we can. Even if the answers to some questions were already known, we still got useful information from the response.
Very disappointed in that he didn't answer any of the hard questions. The majority of the questions he answered were questions anyone with a modicum of Google experience could of uncovered.

Unfortunately I have to agree. As a fan it would have been nice to learn something new and interesting.

Sorry that's simply not true. He tried to answer them in order (which he DID by the way), and even made a conscious effort to take difficult ones. If anything it's our fault for not putting the difficult questions upfront.

Awesome he did this in the first place.
He could have ignored the simpler questions or said google it and explained he is looking for questions with more to them.

Listen pal, I'm not trying to be a fanboy. I was the biggest skeptic about ESO for the longest time, you can read some of my previous posts.
1) I DO NOT think it's fair to say he was trying to avoid the hard questions. He was not, as I stated. It's simply not right to distort the Q&A session like this.
2) Is there anything wrong with showing some appreciation? [mod edit]
If you had serious questions that had not been covered before what was stopping you from putting it out there. What amazed me were all the new accounts created just to ask a question.
It was a rapid fire format. I'm impressed he sifted through the questions he got and managed to give some decent answers. Not only that he went beyond the 1 hour allotted time.
I am as well a bit bummed I wanted Paul to answer the questions that we havent heard answers to yet... But he kept answering questions that he "doesn't know" or that EVERYBODY already knows, but there were a few questions that he answered which i liked. Yes i do believe he should have skipped over the duh questions... and also some of us have had an accnt on mmorpg.com for a long long time but just forgot all there info and made a new accnt... if you wanted your questions answered first you should have posted it sooner, everyone got the same message yesterday about this happening at 7... I watched and waited about 3 pages of questions before i even asked mine therefor my mistake and yours for not asking sooner.

a heads up, admitting to creating a second account is actually against the rules here. I figured a long term member would know that.

I enjoyed the read and his answers Im not sure what the bitching is for I guess some of the jaded people here just will never be happy. He answered a lot of the questions and explained most of the systems, isnt that what he was supposed to be doing? This game sounds like a mix of DAOC and skyrim which is exactly what Im looking for unlike the CU game that is just pvp all the time. Im looking forward to this game and if a dev wants to come and post on mmorpg.com more tidbits of information I see that as a good thing instead of putting him down for avoiding some of the questions he just didnt feel like he wanted to answer or the mud slinging in some of them.
Now I've been looking around other ESO threads but my question is never asked. So my question to you Paul is when someone dies in a PvP fight will the killer be able to loot his victim's body. If so are there any restrictions like, people over a certain level or you can't loot armor or weapons but you can loot things such as potions and soul gems?
They still haven't sold me - they still leave me with the impression that they don't get what the series is about.

To put it plainly, I'm extremely turned off by the faction lock and the lack of immersion that comes from the phasing being applied. As a long time Elder Scrolls fan, there is a great joy in experiencing open borders. As the game is designed, that's not the case. Furthermore, the fact that I must complete the preceding faction's zone before heading on also limits immersion. Forming guilds and groups becomes infinitely more difficult, especially for roleplayers like myself who typically one race or another. Please justify this. ------- Taking yours so people don't think I am fielding all of the easy ones. First, this isn't going to be an exact copy of other Elder Scrolls titles. Each Elder Scrolls game has been and will be unique. I can understand your concern. However, when we decided to put in a heavy PvP system where there would be a faction war, we wanted those factions to mean something. This is also the first Elder Scrolls game where you will be able to adventure with other people and fight other people. I don't think we need to justify it, I just think we need to be up front and honest about it. I hope you join us as an Elder Scrolls fan. I think you'll appreciate the differences as well as the similarities. But thanks for taking the time to ask.

Who asked for a PVP game? Why can't the alliances be a restriction for PVP only? Elder Scrolls has always been about exploration and I don't see that being fully enjoyed here. I guess we'll wait and see. This justification leaves my hopes at such a low point.
Caters to groups of all sizes. But this is Cyrodiil, a huge land mass where you can just adventure solo doing quests, or looking for resources. Maybe you want a strike group to take out farms or mines. Also you have large objectives like keep sieges. The beauty of Cyrodiil is the size allows for lots of different sizes of group activity down to solo. However, we do pinpoint the hotspot on your map for you, which means if a sizeable fight is going on, you will see it dynamically appear on your map.
I like the sound of most of this, but especially the last bit. This would certainly help the rouge type of player/PVPer. .. *Avoid big blob* ..

NO
This is a very silly question to ask, sorry but that information has been known for a very long time. This isn't a hardcore FFA PvP game, it is a Themepark game through and through.

Sorry it is true and on top of that he didn't give a straight answer on some of the questions.
From my what i can make out it seems that TESO is going to be a linear mmo where you go from quest hub to quest hub. Someone asking that question get's a reply saying that all the faction areas are large lol. Sorry Paul but that is not what the person asking the question meant.
Plus being bombarded by fans from the semi official forums asking silly questions didn't help.

Sorry Pal but Onlinenow25 has a point and you being a past skeptic means nothing and does nothing to convince us you are right.
1. avoid or being evasive, call it want you want but he didn't answer the more pressing questions.
2. nope, nothing wrong with showing appreciation but at the end of the day ZeniMax want people to buy their game, they are not giving it away for free, are they?

^Well that didn't take long^
Could only make it 7 posts before the mud slinging began.
