I'm pretty sure that's because the game was cancelled. But no fears, because Mythic picked it up afterwards. Here's an article explaining briefly what happened:
http://pc.ign.com/articles/616/616938p1.html
Basically I think Games Workshop or whoever was running Warhammer online project cancelled it, but afterwards Mythic bought the publishing rights for it, so they will continue to produce this MMORPG (Though I think they started from stratch, not taking any of what was scrapped away from Games Workshop).
I think that's why it's not on the game list as of anymore (if it ever was), since it was cancelled and there is not yet a whole lot of info we have about it as of yet from Mythic's part.
Either way, I look forward to this, DAoC was a really well put together game for RvRvR. I'll be playing RF online until this comes out, or maybe even past then if RF online improves a lot in the meantime

You're right it's not on the game list. Too bad because I want to hype it. I've always been a big fan of warhammer, so I can hardly wait (2 years ick) to see this game. I played DAoC and enjoyed it, I've been happy with the two mythic games that I've played: DAoC and Magestorm. It would be really cool if warhammer leaned more towards Magestorm than just another fantasy MMORPG... in which case i think i would die from happiness.
Funny. I was just recently in a IRC chat with Mark Jacobs (WAR Dev) and this same question poped up:
MJ, you guys got in touch with (Link: www.mmorpg.com)www.mmorpg.com yet?
MBJ: We know those guys quite well. We've been keeping a very low profile and will continue to do so until next year.
However, next year is only a few weeks away. So you may see Warhammer: Age of Reckoning among the MMORPG list soon enough.
If you want to check out the full IRC chat that we had with Mark, head over to the Warhammer Alliance to check it out.
Yea, I've seen one of the Mythic Corrospondants post here before, in response to the whole "they quit making Imperitor to make this..." rumor.
And for those of you who continue to say the above quoted. It simply is not true, and I know Mythic is just as disappointed that they cancelled it as those who were looking forward to it. But when they said they couldn't get things to work in the game the way they wanted to. I personally believe it was due to their programing issues in which they wanted the game to have things that programing was wasn't working up to par. They said they weren't totally abandoning the game. So I expect to possibly see an incarnation of Imperator sometime in the future. Too many people at Mythic liked the idea.
For referance to what I'm saying, scroll down to the "But Why?" post on page 2. Kunou is listed as a Mythic Community Mgr.
Here's a quote about Imperator from Mark.
Garthilk: Speaking of other projects Mark, Imperator. You were quoted as saying Imperator was simply not meeting that triple-A games standard. I know this is a tough question, but being a die hard Imperator fan, what couldn't you do to Imperator to make it AAA quality, that you think you'll have the ability to later?
MBJ: That was easily the hardest decision I had to make. I was a die hard IO fan as well. As to what can we do later, well, we have learned a lot about how to make games through IO's failure (to date). It forced us to take a long hard look at how we had to do things today (as opposed to the old days) and to make changes where necessary. If we hadn't made the mistakes we made with IO, I'm not sure that we could have made as great a game out of WAR as I believe we will be able to. So, I'm hoping that once we are done with WAR, we will be able to put the same resources into IO and make it really great. IO, as it was, would have been okay but I don't think it would have ended up great. Given the investment needed these days to make a MMORPG, good doesn't cut it.
Garthilk: Thanks for the honest answer Mark, I know it was a difficult decision, I'm glad to hear so much positive has come out of it.
So you are correct Dark Lord. The game just wasnt coming along up to snuff. If Mythic pulls off WAR without a hitch, they will most likely go back and finish up IO (Imperator).
