What regional server and type of free company should i join?

I work kinda odd hours, since I work 3rd shift full-time. I live in the USA, but my hours our 5pm-9pm cst  5 days a week.

 

On my nights off I can be on from 10pm-8am cst, since I never change up my sleeping time.

 

What regional server and free company type should I be joining? I can't decide between American or Europe, which would be best? Or maybe a jap server....

    I'm in the same boat and still going NA just because there will still probably be Europeans and Japanese on there as well.  Plus if my FC is lacking people when I'm online Duty Finder is cross server so still shouldn't take an insane amount of time to get a group.

    Same as well, work and sleep at odd hours. I barely can play at the same time as my friends without cutting down on sleep or cutting close to being late for work. I still plan on being on the NA servers just for the sake of connectivity and so far the beta community seems equally nice like the jpn servers so i'm following that. 

    Plus I plan on leveling as a conjurer and probably main as a white mage? (not sure on jobs). Either way being a healer or tank will help on the duty finder. Heck being a craft in this game seems equally enjoyable to do at odd hours and still feel rewarded.

    Just wanted to post this.

    All NA and EU servers are located in Canada, there is no EU data center in EU (Sorta stupid they are even labeling the servers as NA and EU honestly). The only difference between an EU and NA server is the EU and NA next to the name.

    The majority of JP players will be on the JP Data Center.

    If you can play 10pm-8am I would choose NA. Honestly you are playing in JP hours but that would be bad if you cannot speak JP since that data center cannot play with people from the NA/EU center.

    So to the OP. Your time fits JP but if you cannot speak jp you cannot play with people from the EU/NA servers even with finder. So your next best bet would be NA servers, since you are catching the tail end of it.

    If you're looking for an FC, the one I am in is very active and established (started in FFXI but we played WoW, GW2, etc), so we will have players on all the time, even in the middle of the night.     Hi all just wanted to say that I worded my OP wrong.

     

    My actuall game play time is from 5pm-9pm cst

     

    my work hours are 11pm - 8am cst.

     

    I'm up all night on my nights off, can game as late as needed on those nights

     

    I've noticed in the past that guilds tend to do there events at like 7:30 pm or later, but I can't really start that late cause I have to log off around 9pm, 5 days a week, so I can eat and get ready for work, unless I happen to be off that night. My nights off change from week to week though.

     

    I'm Looking for a guild that is: Proggressive, friendly, that's works together well, people who like to group up to do pve stuff. I've never done much pvp, but i'd like to try it out in this game. I'm gona be playing a gladiator/paliden as my main. I'm also interested in Bard and whitemage aswell, but will focus on those later down the road.

     

    I'm going to be starting on a fresh, new server, preferably Leviathan, if none on there, i'll be ok with another new server.

     

    Will be starting on phase 4, will start a conjurer, level it to 15, then gladiator to 30, then paliden. I used to play ffxi for years, loved that game. Hopefully i'll enjoy ffxiv arr as much as that one. I'm an active gamer, pretty much play everyday, unless im out on vacation, other than that i'm game :)

     

    Any good guild out there I can join that fits in good with my time schedule?

    Greetings, im the leader of the FC on Cactuar called Helios. Most of us live in central time zone in the US.  we are a simi hardcore group but welcome everyone wanting to join. we all work jobs and most have familys so we play late as well. if you would like to join let me know.

    There are a number of Late Night PST options.

     

    There are 4 PST and Late Night Free Companies on Excalibur (Fairy tale, Phoenix Order, Radical Dreamers, and Triple Spark).  They schedule their events (those that have scheduled events) after you get home from work.

     

    Other options might be Paradigm on Couerl, or Nostalgia on Leviathan both that schedule their events on a Late Night PST schedule.

    edit: read your reply where you said you had it backwards.  Every NA server has many groups playing in early evening EST/CST time.  Leaving the above though for people who need to find Late Night groups (since that is a niche).
