Registering pre-order code on Squares site

quickshotzquickshotz Member Posts: 215

I know I know. The pdf said go to blahblahblah and give them your email address and you will be notified when we can use the pre-order (early access) code. After waiting about a week. And being the impatient durp that I am. I said "eh why not" and logged into my Square Enix account, went to my games and tried to add the pre-order code there. To my surprise it worked, and the game now shows up in my games list. Soooooo I assume I will still have to register the code again when they do email us. But I did nothing wrong right? Just worried come the time they actually want us to register the code its going to tell me "your code was all ready registered" "NO s**t I registered it!".

Im probably just being my regular anxiety ridden self. But any info would be awesome. I talked to a few people who said they did the same thing them selves. So I guess my question is, how many of your are hanging onto your pre-order code still waiting for that email and how many of you have all ready applied it to your square account?

UPDATE: I applied it to my na.squareblahblahblah.com my games area. Not the actual Account.finalfantasy14.com (<--whatever its called). And I have been informed there shouldnt be a issue :)

I'm curious how.  It says code registration isn't available for me.

I asked their support about this and they said they will email the codes in time for us to apply them before Early Access. Until then we can just wait unless you're also in Phase 4 :)

I was able to register my pre-order codes from Amazon on my SE account.

Weird part is that my PS3 Collectors Edition came up as "PC" when I put the code in.

Huh. I bet the system is still not quite ready, and hopefully we'll hear more after the 30th.

The confusion is that there are two different Square Enix pages where you can register keys:  The SE Account Page and the SE Members page.  The SE Account page is where you had always applied your keys in the past for FFXI, etc.  This page still lists "Code registration currently unavailable."  The SE Members page will allow you to register your key.  However, it is still considered in "maintenance mode" by customer service and not working correctly, so that is why many have had issues with it such as showing a PS3 version when you registered a PC version and vice versa.  I wasn't directed to the SE Members page in the email I received, but it is easy enough to stumble across.  I'm not sure why they are leaving that site public if it is not ready.

8.8 to be exact. That's when we get to know when the whole Beta/Early Access will start. Until then we all walk in the Dark :(
