So many games, yet so few options?

Hello, so I've been playing video games since I can remember lol 3,4 maybe even younger. My cousin really got me into the whole RPG genre, and then MMORPGs, City of Heroes, Conquer Online, we also used to play Dungeon (something) published by NCSoft which they later shut down.

 

I've played just about every game released that I can find, too many to name lol. Mainly been on WoW recently, can't seem to find anything better. I find it kind of strange that in a market that has blown up recently, there seems to be less and less solid options to pick from. It could just be me, but that's how it feels.

 

I'm looking preferably for an MMORPG, that has been released fairly recently, so I can actually use the parts of my new PC to their full extent. So far, I'm thinking of Guild Wars 2.. and, that's about it. There are a few games that I've seen that could very well have significant potential, ESO, WildStar, haven't been following EQNext at all. But I'm not holding my breath for any of these, there have been a lot of games with a huge backing and following, with more support than anybody could ever dream of, and they come out a flop. Is that because we have so high of an expectation for these new games? I don't know.

 

I'm rambling again lol, but yeah. I'm just looking for a good MMORPG, if you guys know of any/are following any in beta let me know. If any are out that are in open beta, or have a founder's pack to allow instant access to beta, it's a plus. But leave some game names below! Thanks a lot! - Mix

    It might not be what tou are looking for, but you should check out Gloria Victis, it's and indie project still in development. You can donate only 10 usd and take part in the Pre-alpha testing!

    FFXIV: A Realm Reborn is the biggest game coming out the soonest; it's actually only a month until full release. Although, I highly recommend not becoming a gamer who just follows the recent trend, expecting to be satisfied. I've done that for the past few years and have not enjoyed it.

    I have seen some stuff about that game, it sounds unique. I never really followed the FF series though, so I'm not sure how well I'd enjoy it. I signed up for the beta anyways.
