?? Does that guy do that to feed his family really? If he does i think you just killed a little girl and a little boy by starving them to death. But dont worry im sure it wont et at ur conciounce(htf do u spell that. gay word)
Is that really his job ho. he should def get another job. However, somepeople do buy gold online. I mean, not everyone is gonna want to go out and get the gold. I do admit tho, that there are places online for that sorta stuff and he souldnt annoy people in game with addlike crap like that. overall your grade is ... 76%. gj
Am I ever wrong??
Yes they feed their whole clan playing WOW. It's the nature of online games now days. Some of the farmers are cool when you go into their grounds hunting and some are Arse Biscuits, so beware. The GMs are also outsourced over seas so you just have to get used to it now days. Expect poor customer service. Sony does the same thing, their's are mostly Indian so at least they can usually speak English, but not necessarily as their primary language..
holy you guys --- I'm sure there are lots of gold farmers from all walks of life and many nationalities. You shouldn't be singling out people from China or whatever. You think there arent American gold farmers or even dutch gold farmers?
Who cares of the GM's are outsourced anyway. This thread border lines racist.
Chinese farmers at least 90% of them other fall in same catogory with names same places they farm and yes they ruin the game.
But blizzard dont care they make buck loads of money.
Customer is not there concern they keep comming playing wow 4million plus.

Racist? Perhaps.
Someone did point out to me that criticising a country or an economy is not the same as criticising a people in any part of the world really. -- I refuse to quibble or defend any position on the matter though.
Anyhow, according to some of the articles I've read recently, much of the labor comes from underdeveloped areas, but the capital for such enterprises is managed in western or developed areas. They say it's a large business. I'm a little skeptical. The overall amount of money changing hands, or total market volume might be large, but I doubt that the overall industry margin on returns are very high. Or vice versa.
I think "1UP" had a decent popular article on the subject recently.
In many places where incomes are low enough to find labor willing to do these menial tasks (which often pay double the local standard minimum wage) the penetration of home computer systems is actually fairly low - at least by a broad sampling of the south east end of that continent. Rather, internet cafes have a much higher density. Ergo, there is a significant amount of centralization in these enterprises.
I'm prejudiced to think that most of the automation is done by bored college student looking to pay for their accounts, guild pursuits, or maybe even mitigate tuition. The sweatshop arena of virtual world wage labor is a conflation of automation and reactive GM policing. Believe it or not, the GMs actually protect the profits of the macroer-laborer by creating a semi-protected market. They scare off all the unassuming and non-enterprising players which keeps the value of their product artificially high. They do it for the same reason polis officers hammer on unlicensed businesses: to keep profits by sectors of the formal (registered) economy stable. The registered economy in a virtual world would be that of the game developer and by proxy, the quality and stability of the player experience.
Really and truly, it just plays out like any dispute between the formal and informal economies of any state or region. Some countries have really big informal economies (up to 80% or higher) and some places make it easier and more profitable to join the formal economy such as most developed western countries. A balance will eventually be struck which grants the least aggregate damage by both sides. Both the cops and the gms want to spend as little time or resources dealing with the problem as critically necessary.
You can always gank them. They are usually located in Winterspring/Azshara/Deadwind Pass. Nowdays farming Maraudon seems to be profitable business... well you can't do anything about it. The root of the problem is NOT farmers themself but these people that buy gold. Think about it.
I just find it sad for people to earn a living from a game that even children play, simply said.
