the account signups are today, yet it will be useless for another 5 days.

Are the devs REALLY this clueless?
What do they think they are doing?

This is something SOE would pull...

I'm pretty ticked. Not only that but they release this information after shutting down the official forums knowing full well it will piss off everyone.

No wonder the French have such a bad wrap, they are totally clueless.

The reason i can think of is they will release the download over the weekend so everyone has a chance to DL the game.

Also, don't you feel the slightest bit misled? I mean the devs knew that everyone assumed the game would be playable today, they made no announcement mentioning anything about the 13th of December before today. Then all of a sudden on the supposed release date they shut the forums down and announce a 5 day delay. roffles.
Actually they didn't even announce a delay. They just pretend that no one assumed today was the server launch date and just proceed like nothing happened. lol. Good stuff. I admire the balls they have to completely jerk around their fan base and treat us like we're morons.

Translation - I don't actually plan on playing it, i'm a fan of another MMORPG or just a troll who likes to moan and bitch and complain about everything.

Let's remember please SOG is not D&L. It's released when it's released, i'm dissapointed as well. But i'm not ready to throw myself off a bridge and cry fowl instantly.

But at the same time they never mentioned the servers would be up today did they?

Heck i'm as pissed as you guys but atleast i have something to do other then sit and wait for the DnL forums to come back up.

lol... I think about all the people who said they took time off work today...

People have been asking for a couple weeks to make the dl available before the 8th... how many people feel like morons right now? Nowhere was it mentioned - even AD didn't even seem to know, they said nothing to the people asking for a dl before the 8th before "servers went live"

Don't people learn? you don't take time off work for a MMO launch 90% of the day the servers will lag/down due to the influx of people.

I saw a post a few days ago on this forum stating that the beta servers have been down or closed since August. I have no idea if this is true. I don't believe this is a NDA breach as it does not go to the content of the game just that they are not beta testing the game anymore. If this is true it even scares me more than this whole SoG fiasco as it would appear the whole game is a scam.

The more and more I see of DnL the more it looks Mourning with better hype.

Personally I find it sort of sad that people take off work to click the refresh button over and over in hopes they might get a key....but thats just me.

Totally... you think they could have mentioned somewhere to the people that they would have plenty of time til servers went live to dl.

I've been watching the official forums everyday and I'm 99.9999% positive they did not mention the 13th anywhere... even in an obscure post by an AD rep in some thread only a few people might read, like the sometimes do. Even then you should be wary because AD doesn't always know NP3's plans - they admit it regularly.

It would have been nice to know... but anyway... I'll be waiting for the 13th... I'm one of the suckas that bought a pioneer account so I'm in for this rollercoaster ride! whoopta!

i'm sure its nothing to worry about. The video's and screenies the dev's released of SoG were great, and its not like they asked $60 for a game that's going to launch in 6 months. And i'm sure that release date will be rock solid, there have been no delay's in the project so far have there?

I'm sorry to flame, i was really interested in DnL when i heard about it, but seriously it's time people wake up and smell the coffee. For anyone that followed Mournings boards in its last few months this is pretty much a carbon copy of what happened there.

I still have the newsletter they sent out when they announced the Pioneer offer.
What coincidence that the date saying that "SoG Regitration (sic)" starts December 8th is an image file, which can be changed as they please:

Today we have December 8th - We see, NP3/Farlan/AD continue their track record of delays, broken promises and hype-tactics as they have done since 2003. And the fanbois wonder why there are so many doubters? Since October, they had no clue that they could not keep their SoG release date of November and in November, they did not know that they would not actually release SoG Dec 8th but instead now invent the date Dec 13th as the actual release? How stupid do they think their playerbase is???
