Isnt it always funny how the game "you" are playing is always so great. Man this is the best game ever, No way they can do better than this. A few days/weeks go by and it becomes man this game is so great but they really need to fix ...... and it would be perfect. Then several weeks/months go by and its man Im getting sick of this crap all I ever seem to do is grind grind grind and they still need to work on ..... ..... ....... and ...... Im getting fed up with this. A cpl more weeks/months go by and a new game comes out, "you" think wow this has every thing I was looking for its awsome. Then it becomes, Man that first game was complete crap, I hate that game it sucked so bad, this new game is awsome I cant belive people are actually still playing that first game this one is A W S O M E!@!@! A few weeks later...... Wash rinse repeat. Something a friend and I was talking about this morning and thought I would share.... have a great weekend

Can i add something to your comment? hehe. Its all true, but after you rinse, wash and repeat about 3 times and you are on a third "new" game, its starts to enter your mind "Why did I ever leave that first game?, it was awsome!" then you redownload the first one, play it for 2 weeks and get pissed again. thats what happens to me on top of everything else you said lol.

To me it happens in a slighty different spin. i do not ever hate the game i come from. I might be more aware of its faults than its good sides, but i don't think it sucks...
I'm also (or was?) a wanderer and changed game pretty often with the result i never passed level 40 in ANY MMorpg. now the trend is broken... if for good or just momentarily, only time will tell

This doesn't pertain to me either.
I have been playing EQ for almost 6 years now. First EQ1 for 4 1/2 years and now EQ2 going on 1 1/2 years.
But, I do try other games. There have been other games I had fun with, DAoC, Horizons, AC1 and 2, Ragnarok, WoW, but none made me want to leave EQ.

It's just me, so open the door.
if a game gets boring for me, i instally leave it...
i learned that from diablo2, for me theys no point in having sevral Charaters i can only stand to grind 1 at a time; when i get to the final level in a game i quit the game quick; so i wont end up hating it in the end
I've had the same problem for a while, the only mmos I've sticked with for a long period of time would be Phantasy Star Online, which I played for over a year. Then Its been mostly wandering through some mmos like daoc, swg, anarchy online, Asheron's call 2, Eve, Everquest 1 and 2, Final Fantasy XI, Guild Wars, Horizons, Knight Online, Lineage II, The Matrix Online, Planetside, Ragnarok Online, RYL, Saga of Ryzom, WoW, Dofus, and City of Heros/Villians. Some I only played for less then an hour and others I've played for a few months or more if I have gone back to it. But what I've found is that even though I end up getting bored of a new mmorpg, I still am not that discouraged because they are still always making more. I still might end up continuing to only play for a few months or less in some mmos, but in the end it was still fun for that time and I still have hope there might be a game that would cacth my attention as much as PSO did.
It's a good day to beleive
