Good lore so far in my opinion. Environmental graphics look very good in my opinion. I personally like the concept of any class using any weapon or armor, and any class can dual wield (I wish more modern mmo's would do this). I think it is nice that we will have the option to play the game on either PC, XBone, or PS4 (too bad they are segregated). It has ponies!
Cheers!
MMO Vet since AOL Neverwinter Nights circa 1992. My MMO beat up your MMO. =S
It's not cartoony. It doesn't have giant explosions every time you swing your weapon. The textures are nicely detailed. It's ES lore! It will have pvp designed by the guys who made DAOC rvr so awesome.
After EQN reveal, which turned out to be GW2 with voxels or whatever they call them, it seems I want to play ESO. Sad it's being done by Daoc devs though because I don't give shite about Cyrodiil.
I think alot of the revived appeal has come from not only the EQN reveal, but the fact that ESO is now being shown in full - Gameplay wise, and that First Person has become its main focus of combat.
For me personally, the thing that I like is that it is looking more and more of what I would expect of Elder Scrolls being online because I understand the limitations of online versus single player and still staying true to the IP.
I like the fact that I don't see cartoony graphics or a theme targeting 13 year olds or adults who prefer Saturday morning cartoons.
I like that they are emphasizing exploration which is in line with the single player games knowing again that an online game will have more limitations.
I like that someone said that you can turn off the red outlines which I'm trying to find the source of that.
I like that it isn't following the Wall of Text that 99% of people ignore in competing games that either have no voice or limited voiceovers.
I like that the NPC quest scenes don't seem as cutting you off from the world like they did in TOR.
I like that the world seems HUGE and that even a low level area looks quite large.
I like that there seems to be a focus on quests that are not just in the city which some would call hubs and that there arn't huge explanation points over their heads.
I like that they seem to be trying to implement side things, be it fishing or whatever.
I like that you have choices with regard to skills and armor. How many other games allow you to play a mage with heavy armor? Or a thief with the ability to cast a fireball?
I like the sound effects and music I've heard.
I like that the combat doesn't seem to be as static where you just stand there and spam..but this one is hard to tell until I see more gameplay from everyday folks.
I like that the character creation screen shows a lot of choice unlike what I tried with a couple of games currently in Beta. It isn't as detailed as Skyrim, but for an MMO everyone should be happy with this.
I like that it has the basics, day night cycles, swimming, etc so those who complained about this in TOR will shut up, though a couple of them always find something else (Chat Bubbles...duh!) lol.
I like that there isn't circles on the map for PVE that say..come exactly to this point to complete your quest leading to brainless PVE.
I like that they are trying to cater to different folks with different strokes (Multiplayer, Single Player, PVP, etc).
I like that the PVP wont have scenarios which ruin the more Open PVP forms.
I like that you can join multiple guilds (Thief, Mage, etc).
I like that they ARE listening to the community implementing features like first person which was not an easy thing to do in such a short timeframe.
I like that they are not succumbing to the hype of the SandBox folks who hear concepts, have wet dreams, and then wake up to reality to the limiations of the game they support at release.
I'm so happy this game is coming out, I'm going to go into the nearest woods, and chop 1000 blocks of wood, and then sit in the forest and just listen to the soundtrack for the first whole hour, celebrating the graphics and detail of my new home for the next 5 years.

I'll probably also have to buy a full bottle of wine just to keep myself from overloading from too much excitment.
Think they should stay SP elder scrolls, players can make mods in skyrim.
Guess we cant do it in ESO.
This is a positive thread. Stay on course lol. They did say that they will allow UI mods i believe, so that a big plus, but anyone with an understanding of online gaming understands the difficulty of allowing mods to affect the gameplay or environment. Also, tons of people wanted a mod that allowed for multiplayer in Skyrim. One was released that completely failed. That is one reason I think this game will succeed. It allows for the first time in an ESO world multiplayer PVE and what appears to be more massive PVP versus the PVE. That's a perfect blend in my eyes.

The game just looks better in FPS mode.

There Is Always Hope!
I think the game is becomming a good mix between Skyrim and an MMO.. And thus i will play it.
I am expecting good quests and great stories
But i do hope to find challenging combat and a very deep character system...
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
