So I was messing around with the benchmark last night so I can make an overclock profile for ff14, and I decided to just mess around to see what kind of score I could get if I played it on the lowest settings and what not. I'm actually a little ashamed of this, it was hard to watch.

It was just shy of 30k! I need to make a special tweak for this now.

there are people who got 33k with maximum setting on 1920. It bugs me I can not reach it while I overclocked my CPU to 4+ and I got 2x Titans on SLI -...- , Best I had was 17,000 which makes me believe that the benchmark is not working on SLI?

Nah, I just scored 16k on my 660's, and that I think was after only 10k with one. You should check that out, not to sound like the lazy tech support but check your drivers/overclock settings?

They're minimizing the benchmark and letting it run in the background for that level of score.  Any i7 CPU at 4.2GHZ+ will get you that score if you minimize the benchmark after starting it.

Pretty sure the game in general still doesn't use SLI. Could be wrong, but I know it hasn't thus far.

That's the lowest resolution and says custom meaning all turned down.

The benchmark does.  It can support Crossfire as well if you set it up correctly.

Not sure about Nvidia, but for AMD you just have to go to your CCC and make a setting for the benchmark and select AFR friendly in crossfire mode.  Others have downloaded a SWTOR crossfire profile and that seems to work too.

Aren't these benchmarks supposed to be a kind of optimization troubleshooting method for the devs? As in.. it sends the data back to them so they can use it for optimization? Pretty sure they aren't really supposed to be an actual test for how well your computer can handle the game.

The minimizing for better scores strikes me  weird. It does not matter if I minimize the benchmark , have it open or running in the back round as I do other things, i get about the same score. I have an oc i7 3770k processor and my graphics card is a evga superclocked 770 video card and the most i can get is 11k at max settings. I wonder if im doing something wrong.

Do you have DDR3 ram and SSD drive as well?

there is a 3Dmark list here with hardware

I managed 12777 with same GPU (Palit Jetstream) fully cranked up, @1920x1080 full screen, cpu is i7 920@ 2.7 on an Asus P6x58D-E (socket 1366) 6gb Ram DDR3

It is not very hard to get buggy results, You just need to run it on max preset settings in full screen and alt tab out. The longer you are alt tabbed out of the bench while it runs the higher your score will be.

    i5-750@3.8ghz with 2x5770  lol

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

33k... Yeah I can see that.  I hit 14.8 at 1920 everything cranked with my 2x560Ti.  SLI support really helped the game engine a lot.  I can only imagine what a pair or trio of 780s would do.

If this was directed to me, yes i do have both. i had 16 gigs gigs of ram which i had to reduce to 12 to get the new heatsink on my cpu. there was no difference in score from 16 to 12 gigs.

Sort of, they can give you a general idea of how it will run.  But it really wont be a 1:1 comparison of the actual game, expect it to probably run about 70-80% of what the benchmark tells you.
