First, I give the greatest thanks to Serashae for putting this guide together and everyone of the Final Fantasy community who lent their knowledge across the net for us to compile this guide. Much respect and thank you. Keep it going.

We will keep expanding on the guide but as of now we have up until lv. 35. I hope this guide will help majority of the community to get a nice kick start with as little time wasted as possible. But enough with chatter; click the link and happy leveling. Feedback is more than welcome.

Difficult to judge based on the 404 error on the link.

I can fly higher than an aeroplane.
And I have the voice of a thousand hurricanes.

Links fixed guys. Sorry about that. I used the regular BBcode editor instead of the enhanced one. I think it caused issues.

Pretty thorough.....but in all honesty you can learn the same things simply by paying attention to the active help menus and reading the npc text.  So great for the ADD kids that just click away and follow their quest markers i guess

I disagree with the guide's recommendation of mob grinding, even at early levels - there is always some source of bonus xp to be prioritized. Otherwise, its fairly solid. It could simplify by giving a rough general priority list to help players decide what they should go for first.

I can't speak directly for Sera. But she went over the fact that you have multiple classes that you are going to want to level. So I assume she put the grind part to preserve other quest you could use to level them outside of your main city.

And thank you for the feedback.

Right - but even taking other jobs into account, smart use of guildleves, FATEs, etc, makes it so one should never have to rely on mob grinding, even in the beta. Sera suggested the latter ideas but still recommended grinding for some reason. Worth clarifying I think. Anyway, just nitpicks.

    Heyo,

Thanks for the feedback. I do like your idea about a priority list and will think about adding one - I always planned for the document to be moving target.

As to your feedback on the grinding - I do wish to clarify that I other than lvl's 1-5 the only reference I had to grinding was in relation to FATES and the Hunting Log. For lvl's 1-5, you lvl so fast that grinding out a few mobs will actually see you lvling pretty fast.

During phase 3, a few of our members did a bit of theory crafting on xp gain and the different ways you could lvl and found that the hunting logs definitely speed up the process, which was why I recommended it.

TBH though, everyone has their own way of leveling, I myself love doing the quests as well as grinding out mobs and instances and plan to do a variety of all of the above, because 100% grinding would give me a headache. This was just a guide for those that wished to speed up the process.

Thanks again though. I do appreciate the feedback as it helps me make the document better and better with every update!

    Hey Sera,

Thanks for the guide and the time you spent putting it together. I only had a limited time in beta and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to get into the dungeons. Guess I should have kept current with my campaign quest.

Glad we have people like you in the community.

    Splad,

For those who replied "Ish.." If possible, provide feedback. I am wondering what you expected, but were unable to get out of the guide as you read through. This could help us produce more accurate guides in the future.

I have completed the lvling guide for FFXIV - A Realm Reborn.

If after reading you find errors or wish to provide feedback please do so as I sort of rushed through this so I could get it published.

    Thanks everyone for your support
