Is there going to be a trial or open beta for this game?

    There is a open beta but getting in at this point maybe hard. Its been closed they have so many people applied. They maybe reopening it on the 17-18 so keep watching for it. As for the free trial that maybe coming but I would not expect it close to launch. Most games wait till the influx of new players slow down. My guess this game is going to see a lot of growth over the next 6 months.

    Open Beta starts on the 17th , Early access on 23rd. Live on the 27th.

    This game is only 30 bucks for the PC, its not a lot of money. Heck I spend more just going to watch a movie. Its worth checking out if you like the trinity and a team oriented game. Also has one of the best class systems I have seen.

    free trail runs 17th to the 20th

    Any graphical, audio, or gameplay restrictions not seen in other mmos but found in FFXIV can be blamed on one thing.

    With 1 month free thats the best deal I have seen for a triple A MMO in my 14 years MMOing.

    Phase 4 Beta 8/16 (legacy players/phase 3 beta players)

    Phase 4 beta 8/17 (people who didn't get into the phase 1 - 3)

    Phase 4 Beta 8/19 (Beta phase ends)

    Early Access: 8/24  (Legacy Players and pre-orders before a certain date, I'm not aware of what date that was to be honest or whenever they stopped sending early access codes to game stops and such)

    Launch Date: 8/27 (Everyone who pre-ordered or even bought the game starts here)

     

    (Note: Early Access Players will be playing right though from the 24th ~ 27th Servers will not go down at all from what Square-Enix said.)

    Legacy Players get 2 weeks free play on launch date before they are charged. New Accounts get the first 30 days before being charged just like any other game you start an account for. I guess you could call the legacy's 2 weeks and new accounts 30 days a free trial so to speak but. that's about it. Phase 4 beta doesn't mean that everyone and their mother will get in since they seemed to close the beta applications about 2 weeks ago or so. They may open it back up maybe like on the 16th possibly but its not guaranteed. They already said that phase 4 they wanted the PvP system tested out but that will only be able to be done by legacy players since you need to be level 30+ for it and they wanted the distance at which you can physically melee someone tested and such.

    As I said no guarantee you will get in, only people who applied back in July have a slot and no where did they promise everyone back in July would get in. They will open registration and that does not mean you will get in. Just that you get to apply. If servers are to full and they let no one in, they kept their word. If they do let people in because servers are not over stressed then great. But you read it any way you want.

    As I said no guarantee you will get in, only people who applied back in July have a slot and no where did they promise everyone back in July would get in. They will open registration and that does not mean you will get in. Just that you get to apply. If servers are to full and they let no one in, they kept their word. If they do let people in because servers are not over stressed then great. But you read it any way you want. 

    I think you might have read it wrong and this is why all this misunderstanding. They said you might not log in game immediately for open beta, as they will send in players patches. I think this is to do with managing server load. so in a sense you will still log in for open beta, but might not be immediate the first hour once servers are up

    And if you would actually use some common sense you would realize its not a free trial, if it was a free trial then everyone would have access to it, but not everyone does. Just remember that Translating from Japanese to English isn't exactly easy either. So before making a rude comment, think before your speak. makes you sound more like an ass. I only posted that to correct information. Apparently you're unable to think bout what was said. A free Trial would give more access than that. "Its still a Beta". Thank you for not understanding the difference between the two.
