Yo i just signed up for RF online beta, it looks intense. I like the spacey look and the mix with the swords is sweet. 
Check that alien out its amazing. If anyone has played it yet from Phili let me know how is it, seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about it but i dont care, just hope i get the beta. PEACE!

IMHO I reckon this game will be a flop. Alto the trailer was amazeing, it really captivated me but when I saw the screen shots I didnt like the atmosphere of the game.
Lineage 2 goes to space.

Have you guys seen the pictures of the armor for the different classes from 1-50? It looks amazing, simply amazing. The class structure and the way they incorporate PvP looks really great too. I think this game might not be for you WoW fans who like to get to 60 in a month or something, this looks like it will be like L2 is or EQ2 was (before they revamped everything, added Vitality, took away spirit shards, etc) and that means a lot of grinding. But, personally, I think thats one of the best parts of a good game, because if you get to the max level in a couple of weeks, or months even.. then your bored out of your mind. I like a game thats slow leveling, but GREAT content all the way up so you aren't bored. I played EQ2 since launch and it took me like 7 months of playing almost every night to get my first char to 50 and 50 tradeskilling, then they nerfed the crap out of the hardcore-ness of the game and I got 60 in like a week, and 60 tradeskilling in about 3 days on one long weekend. ~end ramble. Anyways I give a double thumbs up to this game and I can't wait for it! And this is for all you people who like to coast through the levels

RF looks amazing for graphical content and the such and PvP being mandatory just ads a buzz, thats my problem with WoW and the such to(don't have PvP on all servers, fast leveling, etc) It just makes the game short, almost as bad as FPS games. (Have nothing against any formats, major bf2 fan) But when it comes to MMORG's long game time and slow leveling is what it is all about, just look at Tibia, most insulted 2d game ever, yet it has (or had havent seen it for years) game base, because it was free and it took ages to level at the start, i played for months and only reached lvl 20 something, The bueaty aswell was the fact that you could be killed anywhere because of PvP off 'noobie island' Thats what I like about RF.
Looks great, gotta get time consumming skills and leveling isn't as easy as 1, 2, level up. Also, MMORG without PvP almost ruins it when you pass the opposing force/races. I mean, they are your enamy, and you cant attack em? Bah.
Signed up for Beta too, So waiting, mate of mine is getting a beta test very soon, (when he gets back from Malaysia(can't spell today) So I'm gonna be watching him play... Dagnabbit.

Well, there sure is a diffrence between slowleveling and grinding.
If a game as enough entertainment value to a have a slow level progressen (fun PvP, interesting combat in general, good story based quest ect) then it could be alot of fun. But if the only means to level is by smashing mobs for an eternity to gain a singel level, well then it's sure not what I'm looking for.

Being a lvl 45 summoner on korean server...because I am korean...and have played it for quite a while...
The game is a major grindfest. It is teh grindfest.
You have to grind PTs to put weps&armors , you have to grind skills to lvl them....you have to grind to lvl...
Everything you do in this game is grind. The grind is by far worse than L2.
If you think L2 was a grind hahaha...play this and tell me L2 is a grind.
All I can tell you...grind ain't much for me...I'm used to it...and as mush as you white folks complain about grind and how WoW doesn't have grind? It also has grinding, just not to the certain extent.
Anyways...the game is teh grind. Everything in game is grinding.
I can just imagine you whiners, especially those who can't turn their PCs on 24/7 complain how their buff skills sux, because they don't have the time to run an auto-skill program and turn the PC on 24/7.
When this shit hits the US/UK...you will see so many morons turn their PCs on 24/7 with auto-skill trainers right in front of the town entrances...
It's the way the game was made.
Oh! not to mention you'll also see similar lvl races punching at each other fro days to get their defense PT up.

divinehands, sry to let you down, i've also been on the philipines test server, the game is really nothing out of the ordinary, just kill that, get a new sword and kill the same monsters father, and so on, same for the quests, i wonder how much time they've giving those, it's really all the same, the most repetitive system on earth, and francly, used by all inspireless game designers i think (if only there were quests like in Neverwinter Nights, with a good in depth story), anyway, the quests involve "kill 40 of those, slay 20 of those, ..." with a rare exception where it says "collect 15 pieces of...", but guess what, to get those pieces, you're find yourself slaying monsters again anyway. the game is nothing innovative, you might as well go play lineage or silkroad, cause RF online is a total failure, just like most other (korean) games, you are better of with any goodrated mmo, or even an offline game would outbest it, certainly Dungeon Siege II or Neverwinter Nights ?! all i'm saying is, to all who are not up for a nothing-after-that-grindfest, don't bother downloading the 1,... gig, just for the graphics ...

The only similarity between RF Online and Lineage 2 are the graphics. OH EM GEE ELVES LOOK SIMILIAR! ITS THE SAME GAME! OMGOMG!
just so you know. Codemasters have full control over the Xp rates in the western version of RF and HAVE stated that they will adapt the lvling speed to match western style MMOs.
still it's funny that so many people in this thread seem to know all about the game and how it will suit the hard core crowd since the only concrete information states that it will be faster lvling than the korean version.
oh well..pretty sad to hear that the quests are so unoriginal.
