Looking for a Real Community in FFXIV

My wife and I are rather excited about the relaunch of FFXIV. Heck, my new computer build was spurred specifically for this game. I was really excited about the original launch and couldn't handle it after an overwhelming frustration with the entire game. We love to game together; however, our styles can be somewhat disparate. She is more casual: needing a good community, reason to log in, and story to keep her engaged. She doesn't want stress of performing (raids), but loves to be the top DPS running dungeons. Me, I like the community that comes with mmos, the progression side, and the general cathartic value (mindless questing on occasion, pvp, pve, +/- raiding/gearing, crafting, etc.). We are looking for a guild that will progress and do raids at a natural pace (not scream through content, but have fun), but remember that real life (families, jobs, commitments, etc.) are vastly more important than scheduling your life around camping a raid boss. Our real problem in the past sticking with a game is the community, a reason to stay. The games we hang out in the longest are the ones we have friends with us. Once you kill 10 X's, collect 35 Z's so many times without a real community to back it up, it just kinda becomes the same. We are looking to try and stick around FFXIV for a while The betas have been very promising thus far.
Past mmos we have played:
EQ (only me); EQ II, LOTRO, WoW, SWTOR, FFXIV (1.0), RIFT, LoL (very little)
We will be happy to provide more information if necessary, but we are just looking for some prospects before phase 4; looking for a home.
Notes on play style: I typically play support roles (CC, healer, buffs/debuffs), she typically plays ranged dps (she likes bows 
). I will be on PC, she on PS3. Likely I will role Arcanist/Scholar; her probably Archer (maybe bard).

Hey how are you i am part of OSD (Order of the Silver dragons) we have over 40 registered people and we are all in for phase 4 and early release. if you are interested in a real community you should check us out...we are on the server Diabolos and we have an alliance with 2 other guilds and our linkshell is going to be over 120 by the time Phase 4 starts

Our guild itself is spread out amongst several different games and we have well over 1650 members. We have been established as a guild since 2006 and have been growing more and more in FFXIV ARR. Try Grievance. Great group of people, and it could very well be the last guild you will ever need as it spans across many games and has a family feel.

We will eventually do raiding and other endgame content, but also other company events like gathering days and fate days with no required attendance or leveling speed recuirements.
