just got it and dig it

in Guild Wars

just got this and after about an hour of play i really dig it.

 

any tips or guidance for newcomer to guild wars?  image

    Yeah, ignore CaptainRPG. He's pretty much made it his mission to make anyone who likes this game will hate it.

    Oh don't mind, Aydrian, he's just made because I have tendency to make him look stupid on his narrow minded views. imageimage If anything, no one agrees with Aydrian. A lot of what he says is untrue anyway.

    Besides the point, it's good that you like the game. image While not everyone agrees on what's hot or what's not (/Paris Hilton), it's apples and oranges. For the time being, you just need to solo the quests and the world for a while until you get a feeling for the gameplay and make sure you try PvP too, if you haven't already. If you do party up, steer clear of party's that may seem to be inexperience or selfish in their nature. Lastly, don't let let people tell you how EXTACTLY to enjoy the game. Find something within the game you like and stick with that.

    so far i've put in about 3 hrs.  so let me make sure i understand this... it's more of a minor observation of mine... characters w/ green names are NPC's and blue are real people... right?

     

    also hows the guild wars community here?  are there others i should tap into as well?

    the community here is average
    gamespot is not about guild wars but its the best one out there maybe cheack it out too

    Oh I'm sorry CaptainRPG. Every thought that doesn't borderline yours has always been idiotic and stupid. I'll remember that from now one. And so far, I haven't heard anyone say I'm wrong but you. And I've heard plenty of people saying you're a goddamn idiot and to ignore you. Should have taken their advice.

    To the newcomer, trust me, he might come off as an understanding guy at first but try to prove how great this game is and he'll give out hell by telling you how stupid the game is and describing in great detail as to why you're an idiot for playing it. But don't worry, he's done it to everyone else.

I don't need gratification and not everyone needs to know your personal business. Many people on these forums don't share your inferior complex. Right now, you're doing everything your accusing me of right now. Yet, while you make these accusations, no one has spoken up in YOUR defense.  Anyway, I don't know why you starting a stun in this topic, the new player was interest only in the game. He pretty much took the advice we gave him and went on his merry way. Watching lower yourself to immature lengths amusing me to no end!image

    captain is the perfect guy to ban , i dont know with mods keep him here , trash maker ... and they banned me for flaming others , thats funny , this guy lives here ... nha nha nha nha nha ... doesnt STFU ... ever ..

    the game is too much like rock paper sissors. ur char can only be good at killing one type of enemy but is vunerable to another char who is develped to takeout chars like mine out and so on and os on.

    Some helpful info:

    Dont b afraid to try different skill combos. The game allows u to undo stats and reuse them so you cant make any major mistakes and ruin a character. Also if your an elementalist dont b confined to just fire magic; mix it up a bit, geomancers are very powerful.

    I beta tested this game back in Feb, March and April. Promised myself I'd buy it but never did. I'd always spend my money on something else.
    Well, I was checking my mail the other day and "holy crap!" a package from Mother. A early christmas gift and it was guild wars. I was happy, installed it, had some problems, fixed the problems, and I can't stop playing it.

    I canceled my WoW account.

    I made a mes, but..., what is a good second job for them?

    Monks used to be the best 2nd for everyone a while back. No idea what it is like now, though.

    monk is a good start for second profession , you can heal your selfe ! but there is no perfect combination , all professions are good and all profession combinations are good.

    also good to know that in later , much later quests , you can change your sencond profession to any other , anytime , all the time , so you will be able , if you want to , to unlock all skills with one rpg char.

    One tip is if you keep dying then head back to town (which will wipe any penalty) and try new skills or alter your attributes to enhance certain skills. Skills are usually unlocked from a quest so you will have fun progressing. Hope you get as much enjoyment from it as me as I am having a great time playing. ::::17::

    if it was me i would go me/n so that i could heal my self with life sucking spells will using health degerating speels to kill the enenmy and give me time ot heal and if ever needed you could summon minions thats what i would od but its upot you relly
