Looking forward to the next update and progress on Open Beta, and then launch. I am assuming there will be a large "Patch day one" that brings the game to live status, and from what i saw of it already, it is chalk and cheese from the first release. Dont forget that SE did not ever charge a monthly fee for the first iteration, and that they were big enough to say "this is no good, what do you want in the game?' and then set about a 2 year turnabout. I feel that the game will become even more popular, as people have known about it for so long and will finally get to experience the game that it was meant to be.
Let us live in the world, let us have EPIC questlines but also dont forget about the little fluff things, let us sit on chairs, drink mead and LIVE in the world!
There will be some stiff MMO competition, with EQN and ESO on the horizen, but this is thier time to shine, let them release it to a smooth launch, lag free, no rubberbanding, no UI lag, and no server crashes! Stress those servers!!

This is the one thing keeping my friend from even considering FFXIVnot to nitpick here, but they are implementing it either after 4 month OR 6 month as it is suppose to be patch 2.2 or 2.3.
for those who do not know, FFXIV patches as yoshi mentioned will be each 2 months.
I'm always happy when devs decide to give players a variety of ways to interact with their enviroment. Why design all those neat chairs, well-laid tables and crackling campfires if they just stand around and look like false front.
When it comes to fluff items, well, i'm slapphappy with my preorder mogry-hat...
BTW, what is the english word for the little red mogry -- sphere? In german it is a 'Bommel'
