in Final Fantasy XIV

sorry have been real busy the last cpl of weeks so havent kept track of what's going on with FFXIVARR

I pre ordered it from their digital store a while back. When will I be able to play it? Or can I play even earlier in an open beta? havent gotten any emails from them

    Hey there,

    Your pre order product code, that you shouldve gotten in an email, gets redeemed on the 20th. That is for early access.

    Now for open beta, if you participated in phase 3 or any other beta tests, you get into open beta on the 16th.  If not, anyone can get in on the 17th.

    When I preordered (it was a cpl of months ago) I got a key which I put in somewhere in the Square Enix Website

    But I never got any email or anything

    should I be worried

    As long as you have your pre order key on you I think you're fine.

    well I dont have any code on me (since I never got an email), the only code I got was right after registering and I immediately applied it somewhere on the Square Enix Account Page

    When I go to http://na.square-enix.com/us/account I see the game registered under my name (see screenshot below):

    So am I good to go or am I still supposed to receive anything else?

    I don't know now, because in order to redeem early access you need to type in a 18 digit code.

    We can't redeem until the 20th though so, atleast you have time to maybe find your code.

    I think you're good, I pre ordered my copy from GMG and I was sent (most likely) the same type of code as you. I punched it in, it was confirmed and registered and now my account page looks exactly like yours. 

    Where did you pre order your copy? I hear a lot of people saying that they cant redeem their codes until the 20th (18 digit code) well the code I got in my email 10 seconds after my purchase was 18 digits and it seemed to work fine.

     

    I don't think you have anything to worry about, I sure hope not because if you need to worry, then I need to worry as well :D

    question regarding open beta...  if someone hasn't signed up for beta or got a code of any sort, can they still download the client and get in?

    Yup. Downlooad the client, register on the 17th, and play.  Or if you took part in phase 3 beta you get in on the 16th :D
