There are to many games to choose from

I remembered playing Ultima Online in the late 90s. I remembered playing DOS games and Windows 3.1 games on my 486DX4. It seems so much more worth it and fun to play PC games back then.

I think I am jaded with video games in general. To many games to choose from. Whats the point of playing a game when a few months later a newer and better one comes out. And after that new one another newer and better one comes out.

I would say for the last 2 years I haven't been dedicating my time to video games as much as 5 - 10 years ago. I use to play MMOs with my brother, we would sign up to a major one and play it. But he told me about 5 years ago that he doesn't have as much interest in MMOs like before, and he said its because there are to many of them to choose from. He doesn't play them anymore. I still come back to this site and I still google to see if there are any new ones that are worth it. I guess you can call it hope.

If an MMO comes out that allows me to pay my bills and make somewhat of a living off of it then I would have more interest. It would have to be a fair game that isn't just out to suck the money out of people.

LMAO that will never happen.

For me at the moment there is no game to choose from, but isn't that the same thing?

It takes one to know one.

People who say there is too much choice in something always boggle my mind.  I wonder if there are people out there who don't want to live anymore because there are just too many possible places where one could live.

I heartily agree.Choice gives the consumer power.

I would also add i'm playing an 11 + year old game because of the poor product that has generally been coming from the industry.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

You can be at endgame within a week with most all MMOs released in the last few years.

    Play them all.

Or play that one badass MMO that makes you think and plan and gives you a sense of accomplishment when you meet your goals for years and years.

Oh wait, they don't make those anymore....

I heard the next gen MMO allows you to create an account for free and when you log in, you're max level, wearing the best gear, and rank 1 in faux pvp. I wonder if people will demand that creating an account takes too long and companies should already have your info in their database and pre-create one for you before the game even launches. :)

I knew an IT guy in the mid 90's that said, "Most people don't need a Pentium, it's too much power".
