Well, the level cap is currently level 70. These spells will be available once the level cap is raised you can buy these spells.

So....wait a minute.....you mean eventually they will raise the Level Max beyond 70?  to like 120?

So I am right to assume the Spell has to corespond with your Mage level right?....so a level 60 White Mage cant use any spells above level 60?

thats just what i wanted to know...

That is correct. By the way...if you're going to make a thread with my name in it, type my whole name, it's not that much more to type. I'm saying this because Samu just sounds way too much like Shamu.image

OK New Question.  I was Looking at Shadow Dragons website and i saw they had a section for "Ninjitsu", do Ninja's or Samuria's get this?

Also do you know if it is just a skill on its own, or does it have a list of abilities you can do?  If its a list, you know where i can find it?

OK ANOTHER QUESTION.  When you were in the Beta, can you recall some of the most popular Jobs sets(what 2 jobs together was popular), name as many as you can think of.  Also can you name some of the Bad sets of jobs, or least popular together?...and, if you could can you tell me why some sets are good together...just a vaige reason..

Oh yea, one more thing, can you tell me which Race goes good with what Jobs?, best, worste..ect.  and a vaige reason why.

Oh yea Another thing =P....Is the Beast Master Limited to how many pets he can have?...or is it in like Final Fantasy 3, where "Gau" can take the enemy's power and then pick which one he wants to use next battle?

so in FFXI's case, can the Beast Tamer just tame a pet and then Tame another one....Then in the next battle, he can choose between the 2 he wants to bring out?

Does the Beast Tamer have to take care of his pets?...like grooming, feeding, picking up their poop?

Ninjas can learn ninjitsu. Ninjitsu, basically, is the ninja's way of being able to use spells, many of which are unique to the ninja. In order to use them, they must learn the ninjitsu spell with a scroll (just like other magic users). The difference is that the ninja does not have MP. Instead, he uses different powders and tools when he wants to use a ninjitsu spell. I'm actually not sure where you can get a complete list. I do know that one of the guys in my linkshell is working on a complete list of it all, though.

I'm not going to name every job combination, nor am I going to go into deep discussion about which race is best for each job. Generally, there are races that would be more nicely suited for a certain job, but it is ultimately the player's decision and he or she could make a good whatever as whatever race.

That being said, IF YOU EVER BECOME A WARRIOR/WHITE MAGE I WILL FIND YOU MYSELF AND RIP YOUR HEAD OFF, YOU STUPID, PALADIN WANNABE, PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A NOTHING WHO MAKES WHITE MAGES CRY WHEN YOU USE A CURE SPELL AND MAKE PALADINS LAUGH WHEN THEY SEE YOUR WANNABE LAME ASS! Of course, if you're planning on being a paladin, that's a different story...but you'd better become a paladin come level 30...

    ...

    ...

    ...

LOL Yeah, we saw a lot of warrior/white mages. I think it's very stupid.

I think beastmasters can only have one pet at a time and, no, you don't have to take care of your pets. They won't stay tamed for that long at all. Pets follow you around like the summons do.

Samusic can you see if you can get a copy of what your freind has of the Ninjitsu stuff so far and post it here.  even if he only knows like 2-3, thats fine i just need about 2-3.

Also i would really like you to tell me which Jobs go together, its for an article for www.vanadiel.com  I'm suposed to find out which jobs go best together and race-job combinations that are better than others.  You already told me the Warrior/WhiteMage is stupid and irating, just tell me others things you hated.  doesnt have to be alot, just advice youd be giving to noobies.

hmmm...what else....well that sit for now....

I'll see what I can do about the jobs. There are so many combinations, though that it's impossible to talk about them all. You really should wait until you've played the game. Otherwise, it's me writing the article for you. Off the top of my head some job combinations that generally don't work is subbing dragoon for anything. The point of a dragoon is to be able to summon the wyvern, and you can't do that subbing dragoon. Also, summoner doesn't really work well as a sub since the summons are as strong as your summoner level and gain their skills, etc. as your summoner does. Dark knight/black mage and paladin/white mage are both good because dark knights and paladins get black magic and white magic, respectively. Subbing as those jobs would give them more MP and spells. Many people like to sub monk with dark knight. Paladin/warrior is also good for the small defense boost, but mainly for provoke, since paladin tanks most of the time. I'm not going to go into detail with everything right now, it would take too long.

My linkshell's (clan) website is legacy.mmorpg.net (no www.) and we are based at www.mmorpg.net. The site has not been updated in a very long time, though.

Well, we accepting several people in the beta. I think one person left his altogether to come to ours. LOL I wouldn't leave Legacy to go to another clan - we were formed before the beta, we all played in the beta together, we just know each other. We're very laid back and we'll be accepting people in game.

cool, i suppose you will have to post which server you guys end up being on once the game goes live that way who ever wants to try to join you guys can get the first step of being on the same server at least...

you guys have all been playing this game since the beta and i am sure everyone else knows as much as you know but just don't post as much. so i am figuring you guys are gonna be one of the top guilds within the first few months...

Samusic, I plan on playing a RM and was wondering about a sub job.  What have you seen others doing, and what would you suggest?

Samusic, I have 2 questions for ya.

1: If I was main dark knight, and sub of bard, could i fight and be able to use bard music at same time?

2: Im going dark knight for main job, what of these would you most recommend? Also, taking other job suggestions if u think they would be better.

    Bard-songs(if can) boost stats/help group

    Whitemage-provides healing

Theif-good abilities, and stealing gil is cash provider

Beastmaster-having a pet would help add extra damage, or could tank an add for a little bit.

  • RagansyRagansy Member Posts: 20

ok, i think i can answer this one for ya...

yes you can still play the bard songs as a dark knight, but only one because you will not have an instrument on... bards are not really a class many recomend to be subbed because their higher songs are what makes tha bard so good, and being a sub class you are only getting a bard to half its potential

as far as another class to sub for a dark night, of the ones listed there the theif might work out the best if you plan on just doing damage in a fight and not being the tank and taking it.  most thief extra dmg abilities only work when you are not the one holding aggro

the popular choice for DK subs seems to be a black mage, being that the DK is highly offensive melee with some black spells as well what better way to at to you damage out put than being able to cast even more black spells, plus you will get extra mp for other dk abilities

all this information i just said was stuff i learned through other posts, not playing, so please correct me if i am wrong

Im kinda trying to be 2/3 fighting, so black mage wouldnt be good for me. Gonna use spells to start out a fight, or when im low hp and WM cant heal me, i would stand back and cast.

What about Beast Tamer or Samurai? Pet could help, and keeping tp things(dont understand this) could be good, as samusic said.

  • SamusicSamusic Member CommonPosts: 466
    Dark knight/samurai would be awesome.

Ok sam, answer me this: say im on server A, and the rest of the people are on servers b, c, d, etc (people=guys who wanted to make a guild with ppl on this site). If i buy a worldpass. and i post it here, can they ALL use the SAME world pass? or do i have to get one per person?

  • SamusicSamusic Member CommonPosts: 466
Up to five people can use the same World Pass code, but it wouldn't do them any good. You can't move existing characters to another server. World Passes are for getting friends onto your server at character creation. The only way to move an existing character to another server is with a World Shifter, but those are only available when the server gets overcrowded.

I know, wheover gets on the game first, is going ot get the world pass. then the rest of us are going to use the code when we create our characters to all get onto the same server. that will work, right?

  • SamusicSamusic Member CommonPosts: 466

    Yes, that's how it works.

I have just learned that you can buy World Passes from cities other than Jeuno. I saw a picture of a World Pass purchase in what looked to be Port San d'Oria. I also learned that they can cost up to 1K or more gil, but on the new servers it should be much cheaper. Also, it says that they can now only be used for one account. I'll talk to some of my friends (mainly the importers) about this to verify it and then post my findings.

Thief is always a good support job for a ninja. You could do other support jobs, I'm sure.
