Open beta???

in Final Fantasy XIV

So ive never played a FF online game, last one i tried was the old FF7 (i think) consol game.

I saw this one is being redone and some of the info i read is interesting, but whats the deal with the open beta?

Is it a true open beta where anyone can get in, or is it for people who have been in the past betas and preorders?

    For now this, you had to have a beta invite key registered by the 30th os July to already be accepted for Open.  They're supposed to be opening registration on Sat I think, but remember OB is only through Sun, then game doesn't launch until the 27th for new players.

    So, starting tomorrow ANYONE can get into the open beta for the weekend??

    just want to make sure im understanding this correctly.

     

    Not worried about early access or anything like that , just the open beta.

    Yep. Beta phase 4 opens up for everyone on saturday. It already opened 1 day early for the people who took part in beta phase 3, hence some of the confusion.
