I pre-ordered "FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn [PC DOWNLOAD] (Pre-Ordered)" on August 13th. I received the pre-order bonus which gives me a couple items and also the early access. The early access code is included with my email, and instructions on how to sign up for early access notification. I already have a SE account set up and ready to go. My questions are:
Why didn't I get a code for my FFXIV: ARR? Do they send them out when the game actually releases (27th)?
The beta starting tomorrow is totally separate from pre-ordering, early access and release candidate of the game? (I understand characters roll over to early access)
The signups for tomorrows beta are starting tomorrow as well?
Lastly, how are people downloading the client already? I don't have any link or any game added to my SE account because I have no key to add.

Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.
Emails should be sent out on or before the 20th according to SE.
The client people are downloading to play the P4 beta is the release client. You won't have to re-download the client, but there may be some patches before Early Access and/or release.
Signups for the "open" portion of P4 beta start on the 17th. It's already the 17th in Japan, so I'm checking the beta signup page and FFXIV twitter feed every half hour or so, hoping they open before I go to sleep for the night.
No idea how anyone not currently in beta has the full client installed already, but it would be nice if they would share how they did it. I have the launcher installed, but that's only a few hundred MB. Can't DL the client without a beta account AFAIK.

Oh for those who didn't sign up before the 30th of last month, we have to wait until the 17th. hahah ok that explains it. I read all the info on these forums but kept getting the message. I hope this message goes away on the 17th and I can sign up and get in there.

There was a torrent posted on the ffxiv sub reddit that anyone could download, I can't get into the beta until tomorrow but I was able to download the full client via the torrent.
Can you post the link please to this torrent? Thanks!
This is suppose to be a AAA MMO? Yet they still is no link to download the client? Notice I said download, not play DOWNLOAD.
And if there is a torrent (LOL?) why is it posted on reddit and not their official forums?... I'm curious about this game, but they are not making a very good first impression to a potential customer.

That can't be right.... I wasn't in any of the prior betas and I am playing today (8/16).
How did you do it? what link or process did you go through? Tell me so I can get in. hell I even pre-ordered. I've read up and it looks like us noobs can get in on the 17th, but I was hoping like others, that they meant the 17th japan time hah, which means right now.
Did you sign up at the beta tester application site prior to July 22nd? That's when it was taken down, with a message that it would re-open once P4 started.

yeah he must have I suppose. well this is what I get for being johnny come lately, the new kid in town, and jumping on the bandwagon at the beginning of august. If I had been a week or two sooner I would have been able to sign up
